Longtime Booker Mike Sims Leaving Rudyard's
Rudyard's British Pub is one of those local watering holes that just never seems to change. But change is in store for the venerable "living room of Montrose," with longtime talent booker and manager Mike Sims moving on to Seattle.

Sims' last day will be April 15. This Sunday, he and his significant other, local folk singer and cancer researcher Teresa Kolo, whose new job in Seattle is behind the couple's move, will host a going-away party upstairs at Rudz. The festivities kick off with a solo set by Kolo at 5 p.m.
Kolo has been working on some new recordings with Rudyard's longtime sound honcho Joe Omelchuk.

Sims told Rocks Off that booking duties, which he has taken care of since Scott Walcott's departure ten years ago, will be assumed by Stacy Hartoon, who has worked at Rudz a while as well as at Walcott's Poison Girl Lounge. Sims noted he would back up Hartoon "until she hits her stride."
Kolo and Sims plan to be moved in by May 1. The going-away soiree is open to the public, and there's no cover. The rest of the lineup:
6 p.m.: Dead Roses
7 p.m.: Poor Dumb Bastards
8 p.m.: Born Liars
9 p.m.: Bowel
10 p.m.:Venomous Maximus
