The Polyphonic Spree Know How To Make An Entrance
Yeah, they might have taken the stage 20 minutes late, but between their upbeat first number and the message they painting on a sign in real-time it was hard to be upset with them. CORY GARCIA

The Oh Sees
California psychedelic surf-pop-garage-punk. Hands down the most energetic and whimsical band of the weekend. BRITTANIE SHEY

Getting To See Club Bands Outside Is Pretty Fun
Not that I'd want to see every Chromatics or Tycho show outdoors, but it was a nice change of pace to see some smaller acts outside with a big sound system. Not only does the massive bass feel good in your chest, but I support anything that exposes good bands to unfamiliar audiences. CORY GARCIA

Big Freedia's Volunteer Twerk Team
Because everyone deserves a chance to shine on stage with the Queen Diva. CORY GARCIA

Jurassic 5, Hip-Hop legends.
Jurassic 5 delivering the best set of the festival:
Sure, the set I saw at Coachella may have been longer, but seeing the J5 crew reunited with the Austin skyline in the background was golden. These four MCs and two DJs provided the best hour of hip-hop music I've heard all year. MARCO TORRES

The Best Corporate Sponsor Ever
Pretty sure I ate my weight in free Twinkies this weekend. Those things are back with a vengeance, and I love it. CORY GARCIA

That one time I climbed atop a skate ramp to photograph Killer Mike *almost* perform.
Yep, that was dangerous/fun/scary/amazing. Too bad they couldn't get the sound system to work. MARCO TORRES

The Show Doesn't End When The Festival Does
You know what sucks about being at the Festival all day, then leaving the festival grounds, walking a bit, and getting to see Twin Shadow bring the damn house down at ACL Live for free? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. CORY GARCIA
