HPMA Showcase Spotlight: AThousandColours, "Not.there.yet.but.love.it.so"

In the weeks leading up to the Houston Press Music Awards showcase on Sunday, August 4, Rocks Off will be profiling a handful of performers each day, mostly in their own words -- part of the best top-to-bottum lineup the showcase has ever had, in our humble opinion. See the showcase schedule and ticket information at HPMusicAwards.com, and watch Twitter (@hprocksoff) every day until the showcase for your chance to win tickets.

Describe your band in four to seven words.
Not.there.yet.but.love.it.so.

Who is your single biggest musical influence and why?
For me Chris, my father was my single biggest influence. Larger than life.

He was a singer-songwriter and a beautiful human who loved many, more than himself. His name is Saylor White and I encourage anyone with a willing ear to look him up.

What recordings (if any) do you have readily available?
We have two wonderful, five-song EPs, available for listening and purchase at athousandcolours.com. Please remember the "u." :)

Have you ever been HPMA-nominated before? When and what for?
I dont believe so sir, but I cannot quite remember. I apologize.

I thought this was a Sponge cover band. I didn't realize they performed original tunes. Good for you gentlemen, however, stop stealing the good riffs from Sponge!
