Locals Grandfather Child, Le$, Tontons, Killa Kyleon Added to SXSW 2013 Roster
Houston acts Grandfather Child, The Tontons, DJ Buddha, Beat King, Hoodstar Chantz, Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Killa Kyleon, Branzil, Le$, and Lucky Luciano were among the artists added to the SXSW 2013 lineup today. Previously announced were Young Von, Dat Boi T, and The Linus Pauling Quartet.

As it stands now, Houston's official presence at SXSW is mostly of the hip-hop variety, but plenty of locals are working unofficial shows and parties, garage-rockers Mikey & the Drags for one.
National names added today include Vampire Weekend, who will be premiering new music, Trinidad Jame$, Thurston Moore's new band Chelsea Light Moving, Jake Bugg, American Idol vet Kris Allen, Eagles of Death Metal, Clutch, Icona Pop, Merchandise, The Skatalites and many more names that I know but don't care to mention.
Here's hoping Dave Grohl's Sound City band makes an appearance since he is the keynote speaker this time around. That Bruce dude from Jersey brought his band last year, so it only seems fitting that Grohl do the same.
For Queens of the Stone Age fans, the addition of Eagles of Death Metal to the mix could tip a QOTSA SXSW slot too.
Expect plenty more SXSW news over the next two months as we get ready to once again jump into the fray in Austin.
