Christmas at Fitzgerald's
Fitzgerald's, December 25

We hardly ever get snow, so instead Fitzgerald's has instituted its own Yuletide tradition of talking '90s punk heroes 30footFALL into reuniting for a little "Oi! to the World," decking the halls with boughs of Converse and slipping a little MD 20/20 into the eggnog. Joining them is the always-dangerous The American Heist and Black Market Syndicate, still pushing this year's album of red-collar anthems, ...And the Peasants Rejoiced. CHRIS GRAY

The Handsomes, Thunderado
Continental Club, December 25

Hosuton pop/rockers the Handsomes rarely poke their heads oustside the private-party circuit, but Christmas night at the Continental is a tradition reaching its tenth year. The band is plugging a new release, this year's Time to Let Go. With fellow Houstonians Thunderado, who have a new one themselves in Hilltop Sister. CHRIS GRAY

Cory Morrow
McGonigel's Mucky Duck, December 27
Morrow, who went the time-honored Live at Billy Bob's route this year, is one of the many area natives booking a hometown show around around the holidays. Still a top name on the Texas dancehall circuit, Morrow usually visits the Mucky Duck this time of year, perhaps to spare his ears hearing "whoo!" for just one evening. His most recent studio set is 2010's Brand New Me. CHRIS GRAY
