2012's Most-Searched Musicians: Good Grief, People

Could someone please tell us who doesn't know what "tush" is?
Tuesday morning, Microsoft's search decision engine bing.com released its list of 2012's most-searched names in a host of categories, from celebrity couples and Olympians to tech and sports stars. The one we care about is, of course, musicians. After getting a glance at the list, we don't know why.

According to Bing, it's official: Rock is dead. Rap isn't doing all that great itself. Country doesn't exist. Pop is everything. Tip your waiters, and turn off the lights on your way out.

Because Bing doesn't yet have an AutoComplete feature (which it really ought to work on), Rocks Off fed this year's most-searched musicians into Google's window on the world. We wanted to know what people are saying about these folks too, so we used the traditional prompt "[overexposed celebrity] is..."

What leaps out at us is that, for all these stars' supposed popularity, people don't really seem to like any of them all that much. Except for the one dead one, who apparently may not be all that dead.

tl;dr: Everyone's a dead gay hoe, except for Katy Perry, who's Loki.

I quit after page two.  Too repetitive.
