All Week Long: $50 Floor Seats to Chesney & McGraw's "Brothers of the Sun" Show
You know an upcoming show is a big one when you see an actual TV commerical about it like we did on VH1 over the weekend. Also a good tipoff: The concert is at the same venue where the Houston Texans will soon enough start their 2012 season.
So all week long, but only this week, Rocks Off and the Houston Press are proud to offer one floor or lower-bowl seat to this Saturday's Reliant Stadium stop of the "Brothers of the Sun" tour, featuring country super-duper stars Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw, for only $50. The rules (but only a few): The deal expires at 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The voucher is only good the day of the show and must be redeemed at the South Entry box office. Show starts at 4:30 p.m., and kids more than two years of age must have their own ticket. Here's the fine print.
According to Pollstar's midyear report on the Top 100 North American tours of 2012 (released at the beginning of this month), BOTS was at No. 4 with a gross of $33.9 million, behind Cirque du Soleil's "Michael Jackson: The Immortal," Roger Waters' staging of The Wall and Van Halen.
It's probably even higher up on the list now, because the survey only counted the first eight shows, and there have been several stops on the 19-date tour since then. BOTS wraps up Aug. 25 in Gillette Stadium outside Boston, where the Texans' possible playoff opponents the New England Patriots play.
