When you are an actor, you take basically whatever will feed you just as long as you get to perform. Many actors either got their start in music videos or they will appeared in one after they got famous.

Oftentimes, they are pretty memorable.

10. Hugh Laurie, "Experiment IV" (Kate Bush)

House actor Hugh Laurie appeared alongside British comedienne Dawn French, best known in the U.S. as the voice of "Mrs. Beaver" from Disney's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, as scientists who plot -- and are subsequently killed by -- making a noise that will kill others. Though considered quite campy by today's standards, the "Experiment IV" video was deemed to violent. It was subsequently banned from the hit BBC show Top of the Pops.

9. Johnny Depp, "Into the Great Wide Open" (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers)

Depp plays a rocker named Eddie Rebel who experiences a sordid fall from grace. The video itself features cameos from Faye Dunaway, Burn Notice's Gabrielle Anwar as Eddie's girlfriend, and Chynna Phillips of Wilson Phillips as a celebrity entering a club.

8. Donald Sutherland, "Cloudbursting" (Kate Bush)

Legendary actor Donald Sutherland plays a scientist named Wilhelm Reich, who is experimenting with cloudbursters. Bush herself plays the role of his son, Peter. The music video plays out a lot like a film - sort of akin to Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun because both seem to deal with the loss of innocence.

I came here for the Matt Dillon cameo in The Pogues' video for "Fairytale of New York" and am leaving disappointed (although I still love you). Dillon almost got arrested himself during filming because -- huge surprise here -- Shane MacGowan was drunk, belligerent and starting fights.

Austin Band, What Made Milwaukee Famous' video for the single Sultan included a cameo by Lance Armstrong as a fencing badass.

I'm not sure you understand what a "cameo" is. Chase and Walken are in those videos from the first second until the last...
