VIDEO: Rusko Freaking Out in Houston After Stereo Live Set

Rusko's show Tuesday night at Stereo Live was a highly-anticipated event for the Houston electronic-music community. Our own Taylor Moon covered the gig, and brought back reports of the dubstep star freaking the frick out onstage and lambasting the venue's sound engineer for what he saw as a piss-poor job.

All told, it seems like fans were into the show, even if Rusko was distracted by sound that was less than stellar and not up to his personal standards. Of course, the artist took to Twitter like all normal and coolheaded folks do to vent and complain about the situation.

And of course, someone was shooting video of Rusko walking to his tour bus amidst a full-tilt tantrum.

What do you think? Should he have been more professional, kept quiet and got the sound fixed, or was he correct in blowing up like he did?

I've worked with those jackasses.. I have to say. Somebody should'a let him loose. Not baggin on Houston but that production company are a bunch of "useless cunts". I did a show with them in 2006. The contract had a drawing of how the sound had to be set up. They refused to do it that way because it didn't fit on their red bull (free) dj set up.. Because I respect the people I book and the contracts I sign, I also fought my ass off to try and have those degenerates respect the artists needs. No go.

Houston was lucky that show even happened and that the artist played. He was forced to do a half-ass set in front of a full house because dip-shits own those venues. They don't even care enough to air condition a venue in the dead of summer for their patrons, you think they give a damn about sound? Because of the monopolies that exist in the music industry, the fans of EDM in Houston have to suffer in order to see some of their fav. artists. BIG UP RUSKO!! People who make it to the top do so by not taking BS off anyone.

Another hack dj who thinks he is gods gift to turntables.I would also love, just love, to see him actually put his money where his mouth is. Sure, the sound could have been bad, but does anyone believe that this guy has the strength or technique capable of fighting anything larger than a fly?

Words of his in going to f*cki*ng kill him mean to much .. If I were the sound engineer I would teach him a lesson. With the law of course. The venue does not have the fault... If it were any professional DJ they would keep their comments untill the end of the show and say I'm never coming back here and at least get the good criteria from the fans and not the negative ones due to his actions. He is bogus and I'm probably never... ever going to support the great sounds he makes because with great sounds come cockiness and just plain out an a-hole.

stereo live has the absolute worst sound system of any concert venue I have ever been to.  Rusko has reason to be upset just like I was after seeing Avicii and Laidback Luke at stereo live.  The sound system at stereo is a joke and all artists should avoid this venue

You know what the sad part is... is that if he was truly DJing he could have compensated for what ever he was bitching about Whether it'd be the Gain to compression. In my opinion (Having done this my self) if Rusko was a good DJ he would be able to "modify on the fly" via use of his mixer. As a die hard Rusko fan, this was pretty fucking low on his part and I completely agree with you.

Wonder if they might be interested in a PK sound system.

It's sad cuz if the venue sucks that's not his fault and this is after the show apparently and he has the right to say whatever he wants if the sound engineer fucked up the system end of story....not listening to his music u like is stupid over on incident..and are ya DJ and had to go through that? Only experience can tell you If he was just in his actions....

More like to protect him from the adoring fans. Upset about venue sound system. Legit.

@grimly1234 the sound engineers still have the master control over what gets pumped through the venue though.  it would be like a guitarist not getting enough highs cause of bodies in the room and a bad mixing board from the engineers, and then turning his cabinet all the way up. it would just muddy his sound and not get the rest to work out.

Chris is quite an accomplished musician outside of dubstep, so his opinions probably have some worth to them
