Moments ago, the Austin City Limits Music Festival announced its lineup for its eleventh edition, set for October 12-14 in Austin's Zilker Park. A partial lineup was telegraphed and leaked by the
fest's "lineup lottery" last week, which they began doing last year to build up anticipation for their tenth anniversary bill.

As if they need to really build the hype, right?

I had already been adding to the rumor mill with my own list of picks a few weeks back. Looks like I was way off and right on the money at the same time. I ended up going five for five on my list.

I never in a thousand years would have tapped Iggy Pop and his band of miscreants for ACL. Maybe Fun Fun Fun Fest in November, but not the considerably more tame Zilker Park affair. Either way, some kids are gonna get learned.

This year's complete lineup is after the jump.

Looks like they got cute with the line-up:Gotye > KimbraThe Afghan Whigs > The WhigsIggy Pop > Wild Child

I could give or take the headliners, but I'm actually more excited about this line-up than I am most.

Die Antwoord, huh?  That should be fun.
