“Be and Bring Me Home,” Roky Erickson with Okkervil River. ----- brett 22.12.10 .....Reminds me a lot of Tycho too, especially around the 2 minute mark.

The Coady and Dale dual drumming is some of the coolest shit I have seen in a long time. Wish I could have made this show. They were great at Meridian when I saw them. Thx Rob!

Nice to see Roky and Daniel Johnston... too bad they're the same night. I could make a mean mental illness joke right here but I'm going to refrain since boh of them have come a long way from the LSD fried/schizo days and it's great to see them playing again. And the Melvins show was petty great, as usual. I put them up their with slayer in terms of the cosistency of their shows. Old dudes can still rock apparently. Unsane really made the show for me. I had seen them once before in Austin a few years ago (with 400 blows, whose guitarist is now in big business and roadie-ing the melvins/unsane show). They were missing their drummer and had coady and Dale fill in, and they were spot on. I took my drummer friend who had never seen the melvins and his face was completely melten by the inerplay between coady and Dale. They played mostly new songs, which was refreshing for once, instead of hearing night goat for the 100th time. Good show.

FUGGIN SWEET!!!! Now I know when uber-Merican Toby Keith will be here!!!! 'MERICA, FUCK YEAH!!!!..........now will somebody please turn in their Melvin's review from FRIDAY night so I can adequately gauge my level of dissapointment at not being able to attend? Por Favor??? fuck balls man,  it was 4 days ago! I know it was on 4/20 and it may or may not be covered in the orange reminants of a Taco Bell Dorrito shell taco (or 8), but more King Buzzo and less Dierks Bentley dates and countdowns of douchey new Washington Ave. bars would be awesome! Oh what's up with the ZERO coverage of Cursive last week at Fitz (with Super Robot Party downstairs). This "concept album" shit is getting a little played out and tired, if you ask me (I get it Tim, they are twins!! fuck man you don't need to say it in every song!!), but the older shit still rocked! - Eric

We have to review things to validate their awesomeness? What if they writer hated the show that you loved so much?

If I am vicariously living through you to reflect upon it, since work emergencies take precedence in this (quasi) adult life I have to live as a slave to the man…..  then yes. Who the hell else is going to write up a Melvin’s show, John McClain?

I would have gone but I went to an Aeros game instead. :(
