Canadian rock behemoths Rush are set to close out their upcoming Clockwork Angels tour here in Houston December 2 at Toyota Center. The album, their first studio set since 2007's Snakes & Arrows, is due June 5 from Roadrunner Records.

The band's last Houston-area date was up at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in September 2010. They performed a few still-gestating tracks from Angels, in addition to their 1981 album Moving Pictures in its entirety.

The show was decidedly a multigenerational affair, with fans of all ages dotting the crowd.

Ticketing dates for this show are coming from Live Nation on Friday afternoon, so watch this space for updates. But as with most Toyota Center shows, tickets will be available at the usual outlets: livenation.com, toyotacentertix.com, "most" Houston-area Randalls stores and 1-866-4HOUTIX (446-8849). If you don't have any luck buying them, rest assured that the classic-rock stations in town will be blowing out handfuls of them, too.
