Madonna Announces Second Houston Show October 25 At Toyota Center
Due to overwhelming demand, pop megalith Madonna has now added a second Houston date to her busy schedule in October, after her October 24th Toyota Center show sold out within days of going on sale. Madonna will stay in town for an October 25th encore appearance.
So far it looks like she has been selling out most venues, with additional dates being announced every day.
Houston seems to be in concert-going mode, with artists like Heart and Coldplay having to schedule second dates in town to accommodate your demand. Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift did the same in 2010. Now if we can just get some of the more obscure bands to come to town too...
Madge is coming off an acclaimed Super Bowl halftime show, which seemed to reinvigorate interest in her, as if it really ever fell off. Even M.I.A.'s immature bird-flipping didn't slow down the Queen Of Pop.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, at the usual outlets: livenation.com, toyotacentertix.com, "most" Houston-area Randall's stores and 1-866-4HOUTIX (446-8849).
The tour is designed to promote the singer's album MDNA, scheduled for release March 26 (and not an Ecstasy reference at all, we're sure).
After bypassing Houston for nearly two decades, Madonna performed in November 2008 at Minute Maid Park on the "Sticky & Sweet Tour."
