And just like that, to anyone who was fretting about missing the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Toyota Center to see ZZ Top on March 8 at RodeoHouston, your problems have been solved. And mine too, since I wanted to see both bands. RHCP have announced a new date for their show, this next October 20, and still at the arena downtown. The band has had to reschedule over a dozen dates in the process.

In this statement from the group's website they blame a nagging foot injury suffered by lead singer Anthony Kiedis.

Red Hot Chili Peppers regret to announce that they must postpone the start of their upcoming U.S. tour due to multiple foot injuries sustained by Anthony Kiedis. Anthony recently underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot and is expected to make a full recovery.

Tickets for the postponed dates will be honored at the rescheduled dates.

Has anyone heard the band's latest album, I'm With You, which came out last August? What did you think of it, with the band now without guitarist John Frusciante?
