Happy 2012!: Nickelback, Bush, Seether Hitting Houston June 2

​Batten down the hatches, light a candle, make a voodoo doll out of human hair, and pray to whatever deity you subscribe to, because her comes the concert announcement of the year, one that may very well rip the space-time continuum in Houston into a million shreds.

As you can see from the headline, Houston is in for whoopin' on June 2 as Nickelback makes their return to Houston, after nearly two years away, with Bush and Seether, who may own property here in town judging by how often they are around.

This weekend in question is shaping up to be a big one for Houston, which will be right in the thick of Free Press Summer Fest, set for June 2 and June 3. Will there be a mass exodus in the early evening as FPSF concertgoers make their way to Toyota Center?

This also puts to rest the persistent rumors of Nickelback playing FPSF. Dashed into the wind are the dreams of twentysomethings gliding down a hill at Tinsley Park to the strains of "Photograph". That's the song about pictures and shit.

The band, recently named the "biggest band in the world" by the Black Keys, will be touring behind last year's Here And Now, their first album in three years.
