Tumblrin' Dice: Clipart Covers Hurt Your Eyeballs

"Dazed and Confused" indeed...

​Today I discovered Clipart Covers, a Tumblr site dedicated to remaking classic album covers with just clipart and comic sans, turning them into nightmarish, though amusing, affairs. Random urban-looking folks and what looks like a Wii avatar make up the cover of N.W.A 's borderline offensive Straight Outta Compton, and Nirvana's Nevermind comes sans baby penis. Oh here go Hell come.

You can suggest covers for the site to tackle on the site, and I think I am going suggest Black Flag's entire catalog (is there a clipart pic of someone smashing their fist in a mirror?) and maybe Jane's Addiction's Nothing's Shocking, because hehehe boobs and lady parts.

Here's a few of my favorites from Clipart Covers. Some of them aren't too terribly far off from the real thing, like the Velvet's cover, while others, like the Clash's London Calling, would make 15-year old me cry big pubescent tears of rage. Most though could pass as zany children's albums, a la those lullaby discs that hipster parents by for their kids to listen to Elliott Smith as they slumber.
