Your 2011 Punk, Metal, And Indie Rock Christmas Music Playlist
Might as well get this one out of the way right after Thanksgiving. Each year we compile new, old, and classic punk, heavy metal, and indie Christmas songs for you to soundtrack your holiday season. We've already helped you discover the majesty of Lemmy, Dave Grohl, and Billy Gibbons jamming on "Run, Rudolph, Run", and of course, AC/DC's "Mistress For Christmas", from 1990's The Razors Edge.
"Smart phones are getting too mainstream."
This year the pickings were sort of slim. Maybe rockers are getting to the point where even they are sick of making Christmas songs, since they are sort of throwaway, and you can't put them in sets in the middle of the summer. Or maybe we didn't want to look hard enough.
We rustled up some special cuts from Spinal Tap, Faster Pussycat, Fear, Descendents, The Fall, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones to start your holiday season off right with some snark, some hearing damage, and a sneer.
