30 Seconds With The Contortionist's Robby Baca
We sat down with Robby Baca of The Contortionist to see what we could find out about the heavy metal curb-stompers' guitarist in 30 seconds.
Rocks Off: What is the worst song in the world?
Robby Baca: Too many bad songs to pick from.
RO: What is the best lyric in the world?
RB: I haven't heard every song in the world, but from the songs I have heard in my life, anything that The Dear Hunter comes up with is brilliant. I love that band.
RO: Someone throws a beer bottle at you onstage. What do you do?
RB: Throw my guitar at them.
RB: The surface of the sun would be a pretty sweet place to play a gig. Solar flares are way sicker pyrotechnics.
RO: What would you buy with a million dollars?
RB: I would use my brain. Invest that shit. Turn it into $2 million.
RO: What would you buy with your last dollar?
RB: Side salad from McDonalds.
RO: If you could canonize another musician, who would it be and of what would they be the patron saint?
RB: No comment
RO: What will be written on the plaque beneath the giant statute future generations erect in your honor?
RB: My boys in the band Volumes would have it say "THE BAC."
The Contortionists debut album, Exoplanet, is available today from Good Fight Music. Imagine if every member of Queensryche was suddenly infected with the rage virus from 28 Days Later, but didn't stop playing their instruments and you'll have a pretty good mental image of their work. It's not for the faint of heart.
