Mr. 16 Addresses I'm Gay, Amber Rose & More
The hip-hop world is a less than sensible place -lots of times, you're even required to clarify when bad means bad and when bad means good- so once a week we're going to get with a rapper and ask them to explain things. Have something you always wanted
to ask a rapper? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Week's Subject(s): Lil B gives away I'm Gay; the apparently hateable Big Sean; Watch the Throne; Amber Rose's accidental porno debut; Q-Tip vs. Michael Rapaport
Ask A Rapper: There were a few things that people emailed about as possible AAR topics, so we're going to throw all of them at you. And we're going to play Smart Move, Dumb Move. We'd explain the rules of Smart Move, Dumb Move, but that would invariably be a dumb move. So figure it out, we suppose.
Mr. 16: Dumb Move, in my opinion, for the title name of the album, but it did generate a lot of buzz; that's probably the kind of attention he was looking for. Also, giving the album away for free on Twitter, I am guessing he just wants his fans to here his music and is not worried about the profit.
Big Sean, who has become a lightning rod for criticism and disdain, continues to make music. Smart move or dumb move? (Also, why do people hate him so much? Far as we can tell, he seems an okay guy.)
Mr. 16: Smart Move. I don't think you can ever have enough music out. It's always going to be different people wanting to hear new music.I do not know why people were hating on Big Sean. I think he is one of the best new artists coming out right now.
From what I saw, he just worked hard and turned his dreams into reality and I can relate to that because I am too trying to accomplish my dreams. He also was humble and down to earth when I met him at the Wiz and Trae Videoshoot in Austin
