5 Things Sarah Palin Should Know About Common

• Regardless to the first lady brings to the white house, her husband is an utter failure.  I like your newspaper for the restaurant reviews and entertainment guides, but I will admit your spin on politics and government is almost always wrong. Common was a bad choice to bring to the white house. Anyone who is that divisive is a bad choice to bring to the white house. He most assuredly has issues with white people.  Therefore he is a bad representative of any race/culture. It seems that obama and his ilk are cowards when it comes to race, just like their boy holder said.

•  Rizoh. Did you know that Common supported a woman who fled the country for Cuba after killing a police officer? Did you know the officer deserved it? Did you know the officer didn't deserve it? Do you know if the officer had a family? Did you know if the officer was a racist?  No, I didn't think so. There's a lot of stuff we don't know or are even slightly curious about unless our own sensibilities are effected. Yep, we're all egregiously ignorant in our own right.

• For what it is worth, my political ideology has been historically more Republican than Democrat.  I'm an old white guy from Kansas.  I'm not very informed about the impact of Common as an artist.  Here's my point: I've seen and heard from both Mrs. Obama and from Mrs. Palin on other issues, and I would not think twice about trusting Mrs. Obama's judgment hands down, every time.  It is just impossible for me not to view those two individuals and realize they are not in any way equal.  If I did not understand a decision that Mrs. Obama had undertaken, I would be very careful to understand the facts first as I would assume that she would be very well briefed on any issue of interest to her.  Conversely, I would not trust any assertion from Mrs. Palin without documented proof from someone else.  The President and the First Lady have conducted themselves with honor and they have my respect. I refuse to let Mrs. Palin or Mr. Trump to be discussed without remarking on how low and inappropriate their behavior has been toward the sitting President and First Lady.  Shame on them and I cast another vote for turning the channel on any media that will have them.

• Thenonymous, you are partially correct here sir. However this frame of thought is larger than Sarah Palin; it spreads throughout the network, it's anchors and its devoted watchers. Even if we took Common out of the equation what we are left with is still a talking point spun into a controversy for the particular reason to make the president out to be a "radical". They have been intent on this from the outset of his campaign, and now that election season is in the near future the same applies. They know that almost all of their viewers have little to no knowledge of who Common is, so between splicing clips with him performing, Rev. Wright parading around, the buzzwords 'cop killer" etc. it makes him look like another "scary, radical black man". Cast bait will always reel in a fish, which is partially why so many people find it hard to look away. Peace.

• While I personally have no problem with Common the Obama Administration should have known that people would attack for what he has said in the past. If Bush had brought someone to the White House who had spoken about burning Bill Clinton, killing cops and not approving of inter-racial marriage the left would of freaked out. Think about how your side would react before you decide to line up and beat the other side.

• Sarah Palin isn't the problem. She's just the latest outward symptom of how sick our society has become. She has zero political power, no expertise in any field of endeavor, and she fails to demonstrate even a basic understanding of, or interest in, facts. Her entire purpose in saying or doing anything is to self-promote. The fact that she falls back on repeating her "greatest hits" bumper-stickery bon mots with the frequency of a 70's tv character with a catchphrase, would aso indicate she's none too bright. With all this in mind, she can be safely ignored. Any reasonable person would treat her with the indifference she deserves. So, why do tv networks keep sticking a camera in her face to get her take on world events? Because they're giving the public what they want. Sarah Palin talking on television is the equivalent of a d-list celebrity reality show. People will watch that crap with a sick fascination. "Will Bobby from Taxi finally end up dead in a hotel room?" "Will Meatloaf punch Gary Buesey? Tune in and find out!" Stop looking at it, and it will go away.

• What's really humorous in all this is that Sarah's second book was publicized as being "poetry, scripture, and sermons that have inspired Sarah Palin." Either she couldn't come up with one poem that she ever read, nor one sermon she heard, or she decided that people really, really wanted to read about her ragging on the President like some 8th grader who wasn't asked to the big dance. She is about as juvenile as they come, and every time someone puts another $100,000 in her sweaty palm, she is validated as important. Time to stop paying her, tea baggers. She is not helping you, nor the country. She is a divisive shrew.

The real question out to be, did Common fall off after "Like Water for Chocolate".

• Desperation to restore the status quo with another rich white anglo-saxon is thick in the air. Common aka. Rashid is a man that is for growth in all facets. Fox news as usual, took a snippet of his poetry and failed to understand that poetry is often written in different narratives. So if Hannity and co. want to recite lines, they must realize that must not take it out of context. Common was invited because of his body of work. He appeals to the youth like no other poet invited that night. Wake up already!
