Goin' back to Zilker: Arcade Fire at The Woodlands, May 4
Moments ago, the Austin City Limits Music Festival announced its lineup for the 10th-anniversary weekend, scheduled for Sept. 16-18 in Zilker Park. Top names include Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Kanye West, and Bright Eyes.

Previously announced via the festival's first-ever scratch-off "lineup lottery," which began last week at various Austin-area businesses, were Arcade Fire, My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, Empire Earth, Delta Spirit, J Roddy Walston & the Business, Cee-Lo Green, Chromeo, Empire of the Sun, Smith Westerns, Hayes Carll, Iron & Wine, Mavis Staples, The Head and the Heart and Alexander.

All three-day packages for the festival have sold out. Single-day tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today at aclfestival.com, so get those refreshers ready. But there's plenty of time for that in a few hours. This year's complete lineup is after the jump.

Can't wait.  I scored the $50 3-day pass, woo hoo.  Not enough hard rock in my opinion.  My biggest problem with the whole thing is deciding whether or not to see My Morning Jacket or Stevie on that Saturday night...

Kanye West ruins it for me. Stevie Wonder is always that once-in-a lifetime chance you're going to see at a giant festival. Still, Kanye West? Disclaimer: was a huge KW fan @ College Dropout, but after that, what with the whining and Mtv stunts, I had to drop out.

I guarantee you the people on here talking about selling their tickets are full of shit. Take your happy asses down there, have a good time, enjoy some good music, and please don't bring your shitty hipster ass attitudes with you.

All you people are why I hate going to festivals. If I wanted to be surrounded by a bunch of music snobs who believe the world revolves around their opinion, i'd move to...oh wait, I already live here.

3 day pass = 180. hotel for 3 nights = 500.food and overpriced beer $200. add aftershows and more food & beer and you get the fucking idea. I have been to the fest every year except 2 just not that great of a lineup this year.I was expecting sir Paul since this is the 10th one and all and I mean coldplay is good but for YR10 bring radiohead at least they have some new shit out. and why not Jay Z over Kayne.

I will spend less then $200 on summerfest and can walk from my house.

Are you going to ACL by yourself? Because only then will I see you spending 500 for hotel. And when I go to ACL I find a cheaper hotel that's a 15 minute drive to Zilker. Still a fabulous time and still doesn't equal 500 for the weekend even before I split with my friends. Beer at ACL is actually not overpriced there. It's the same you'll find at bars here. You can't compare that since I don't believe Summerfest allows you to bring in your own beer. But you know what, it's ok. ACL will be fine without you. Enjoy Summerfest and I'll be going to both.

For the $$$ I think Summerfest is a way better option. ACL did not impress me this year sure there are some bands I would like to see but not enough to spend over 1K for the 3 days

Huh?
Huh?

Why on Earth would you spend over 1K to go to ACL?

I will buy y'all's three-day-passes. Freaking Stevie Wonder, you kidding me? And Mavis Staples and Elbow and Broken Social Scene and Wanda Jackson and Fitz & the Tantrums and DFA 1979 and Cold War Kids and KANYE WEST AND ARCADE FIRE? Seriously. Y'all all crazy. This is a great lineup.

I agree with you on Stevie and DFA 1979 and would throw in Social D.  However, being primarily (although certainly not limited to) a punk/garage rock and soul/funk fan, I think it's hardly "crazy" to consider this year's lineup is a bit thin.  Kanye and Arcade Fire, among many others, are a big "meh" and there are too many boring-ass "roots rock/country lite" acts.

In any event, I think the point that some are trying to make is that they think the $ simply isn't worth it, especially if you don't already live in Austin.  Out of curiosity I checked craigslist today and there are some rat bastards with the balls to try to steal $300 and up from people.  Now THAT is crazy.

I keep looking for radiohead, but I can't find them on the lineup?

Lame. I wish we would get a real music fest here in Texas. Heck Summer fest here in town blows the ACL away and Summerfest is not near as big of an event.
