Lately Rocks Off has been playing with the Musically Oblivious 8th Grader on Meme Generator, asking the soon-to-be freshman her thoughts on the Houston music scene. Not surprisingly, she has plenty of questions, and also plenty to say about the climate of the scene here in 2011. 
Let this be a lesson to local bands and artists coming up: Start playing eighth-grade dances. Not just for the prime just-out-of-college tail teaching Social Studies, but for the chance to shape young minds. Do we really want Musically Oblivious 8th Grader going into high school thinking that Z-Ro is just nothing, a quantity of no importance?
