Five More Heavy Metal Christmas Carols

heavymetalchristmas.jpg
Last year's unholy Christmas metal list was so popular, we decided to reach back into our quasi-Santanic bag and find five more songs for you to blare while trimming the tree and wrapping presents.

We made our list too late to catch Rob Halford's Christmas album, Winter Songs. Otherwise it would have been loaded up with at least his version of "O Come O Come Emanuel," because we are fans of irony and at heart we are still 13 years old.

We aren't sure how we missed the Spinal Tap's "Christmas With The Devil" a year ago. Maybe we were too busy basking in awe of the Lemmy, Dave Grohl, and Billy Gibbons' version of "Run Rudolph Run." You have heard that one, right? Of course you have.

Here are five more Christmas metal songs, including one from Dio and Tony Iommi, from their Heaven & Hell Black Sabbath days together. This is our first holiday without RJD, so make sure to buy someone Holy Diver in his honor this year.

Ronnie James Dio & Tony Iommi, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

The late Dio teamed up with Iommi for this version of "Gentlemen." The best part of the song, other than Iommi's trademark shredding, is Dio singing "Christ, our savior was born on Christmas day to save us all from Satan's power."

Spinal Tap, "Christmas With The Devil"

If you switched out the Tap's lyrics from their whole catalog, they would have been bigger than Def Leppard.
