GhoulsFest: Everything You Need To Know
For the record, Rocks Off is well aware there is more to GhoulsFest than Black Congress not playing the ten-hour festival at Tom Bass Park tomorrow. A lot more. We also wish BC nothing but the best opening for New Orleans Sabbathites Eyehategod at Walter's tonight and at Moon Tower Inn's "Party at the Moon Tower" mini-fest on Halloween.![]()
Daniel Johnston fuels up.
Anyway, Rocks Off is getting a little long in the tooth for all-day outdoor festivals, but we're actually looking forward to GhoulsFest. We can't imagine the weather being any more perfect, and for us it looks like a long afternoon and evening of bands we've enjoyed for years (...Trail of Dead, Spain Colored Orange), a band we never thought we'd see (Bad Brains) and a couple of wild cards (Macy Gray, Daniel Johnston).
So here's a quick thumbnail guide to GhoulsFest. We never thought we'd ever say this - about a music festival especially - but see you in Pearland. Gates open at noon.

A DANCE LABYRINTH?
Now this sounds interesting. DJs including Bizz, Manu and Fat Tony will be spinning at the "Hazey Maze" Dance Party, inside what GhoulsFest calls a "harvest-style labyrinth maze with a giant fog-filled dance floor." We'll bite.
