GhoulsFest: Everything You Need To Know
For the record, Rocks Off is well aware there is more to GhoulsFest than Black Congress not playing the ten-hour festival at Tom Bass Park tomorrow. A lot more. We also wish BC nothing but the best opening for New Orleans Sabbathites Eyehategod at Walter's tonight and at Moon Tower Inn's "Party at the Moon Tower" mini-fest on Halloween.

Anyway, Rocks Off is getting a little long in the tooth for all-day outdoor festivals, but we're actually looking forward to GhoulsFest. We can't imagine the weather being any more perfect, and for us it looks like a long afternoon and evening of bands we've enjoyed for years (...Trail of Dead, Spain Colored Orange), a band we never thought we'd see (Bad Brains) and a couple of wild cards (Macy Gray, Daniel Johnston).
So here's a quick thumbnail guide to GhoulsFest. We never thought we'd ever say this - about a music festival especially - but see you in Pearland. Gates open at noon.

Now this sounds interesting. DJs including Bizz, Manu and Fat Tony will be spinning at the "Hazey Maze" Dance Party, inside what GhoulsFest calls a "harvest-style labyrinth maze with a giant fog-filled dance floor." We'll bite.
