Note To Fans: Don't Give Paul Wall The Finger

Updated at 4:43 p.m. to include Wall's apology.

When last Paul Wall came to TMZ's attention, it was for some iPhone video he shot of a rather... disgruntled Whataburger customer after his SXSW showcase with Chamillionaire in March. Rocks Off just watched the video again, and it's still hilarious.

This one isn't quite as funny, but Wall is back on the celebrity-fuckup Web site's radar. This time it's for some video from a car show this past weekend in San Antonio (above), which appears to show the Houston rapper (brown T-shirt and backwards ballcap) striking someone in the audience with a microphone.

Reports AllHipHop.com:

The rapper exchanged words with an unidentified man, who had given Paul Wall the middle finger during his performance.

After a few words with the man, Paul Wall strikes the man several times with his microphone.

The music stopped, and the crowd began to boo the man and security came and tossed the unknown individual out of the event.

No charges have been [pressed] against Paul Wall.

Rocks Off has emailed Wall's publicist for a comment. She says she's waiting to hear back from the rapper's attorney.

We've met Wall a couple of times, and he certainly seems like a nice guy. He's usually willing to participate in our Rap Round Table email discussions if he has time.

No telling what could set him off, so we'll see...

Later this afternoon, Wall sent the following apology to his fans, via his attorney.

I want to sincerely apologize to my San Antonio Fans as well as Paul Wall Fans worldwide for allowing myself to become distracted during my recent performance at the Low Low Car Show in San Antonio, Texas. My goal as a live performer is to always provide my fans with a great show experience and I apologize for temporarily taking my eyes off that goal. We all learn from experiences both good and bad. I will learn and grow from this incident and be a better person, artist and performer as a result.
