Wham! Nu-Metal Band Gets What It Deserves

In 1992, Nirvana's bassist Krist Novoselic pulled one of the great rock and roll blunders ever at the MTV Music Video Awards when he brained himself with his bass. Novoselic was fond of tossing his bass high in the air and catching it, and only dropped it once... in front of the whole country... and on his head.

Novocelic chalked his mistake up to a tense backstage situation before the performance. Nirvana had argued with MTV about playing "Rape Me," and was pressured to play "Lithium" instead. Also, the band had a backstage fight with Axl Rose over a comment by Courtney Love indicating that she wanted Axl to be her daughter's godfather, a suggestion that prompted Rose to tell Cobain to "keep [your] woman in line."

So, one of the most influential bands of the '90s was distracted by an argument over artistic freedom and a fight with another legendary act at one of the country's biggest music showcases and ended up with one member injured by a guitar stunt.

...so what's this shitty nu-metal band's excuse?
