Little Joe Washington Released From Hospital Into Rehab Facility

Rocks Off just received a brief but fortuitous update on the condition of diminutive bluesman Little Joe Washington from his friend Reg Burns. As expected, Washington has been released from Ben Taub Hospital and is now in Quentin Mease Community Hospital, a rehabilitation facility. Washington, who is 71, has had two surgeries in the last month for a bowel obstruction and has been hospitalized since May 23.
Last week Burns told us Washington was expected to stay in rehab for a few weeks before being sent home. The main number for Quentin Mease Community Hospital is 713-873-3700.
