Keaton Prescott: Live From Tropical Storm Alex

Rocks Off was not happy to wake up Monday morning and find out that we would have to begin each day this week by tracking another potentially home-wrecking storm. Tropical Storm Alex is expected to cross through the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico and hit somewhere near the mouth of the Rio Grande.

As always, though, there is the possibility that we will once again get real acquainted with structural integrity of our domiciles should Alex make like Justin Bieber and refuse to skip Houston. But to take the sting off the unlikely, but frightening event, Rocks Off gives you 15-year-old metal guitar prodigy Keaton Prescott and his original song "Highrise."

Now, Rocks Off sees a lot of your homemade music videos on YouTube as he scours the Internet bringing you the cream and curdled milk of the world of music, and frankly, we get kind of sick of looking at your room. We're sick of your Fall Out Boy posters, your bongs, your dirty laundry and the cans of soda that are rapidly growing penicillin.

That's why Prescott really double-stuffs our Oreo. In addition to a hell of a good metal riff, he's set up a green-screened background of some great storm footage, and it amuses us to pretend that as the first storm of hurricane season menaces an already thoroughly menaced Gulf Coast this week, somewhere in the eye of the storm a boy is shredding some serious licks.
