| 2:36 p.m.: Our man on the scene's wrist, not even three hours into SXSW. |
2:04 p.m. Rocks Off Sr. to Hlavaty: "OK hoss, let's hear something about some music this hour."
2:22 p.m.: Hlavaty, by phone: "I gotta run over to the Fader Fort to pick up some credentials, and I'm doing a video interview with Mariachi el Bronx at a taco truck after that."
2:25: "Checking in at the Levi's Fader Fort. Rocking four wristbands for one party. Rumor is that MGMT headlines tonight."
2:37 p.m.: "About to eat and drink the tacos with Mariachi El Bronx."
2:48 p.m.: "Listening to Rose Tattoo while the Bronx get suited up in their mariachi suits. This is happening."
3:08 p.m.: "All decked out with the Bronx. They didn't bring me a mariachi suit. Sad face."
 |
| 3:11 p.m.: Mariachi El Bronx is ready for their close-up... |
3:16 p.m.: "The Bronx just taught me the phrase 'prison wallet.'"
3:17 p.m. Rocks Off Sr.: "Do tell..."
3:27 p.m.: Hlavaty sends his answer via picture (below). We still have no idea what it is.
3:30 p.m.: "Prison wallet is your butthole, btw."
[At this point Rocks Off Sr. got up to smoke a cigarette and perhaps weep just a little.]
3:46 p.m.: "Salt Lick BBQ truck, I am going to steal you."
3:52 p.m.: "OK. We Were Promised Jetpacks. Not too bad."
3:59 p.m.: "The Fader Fort is a good free deal. Check it out."
