Turning The Screw: All the Way, Z-Ro, Devin, Lil' O, UGK, Nicki Minaj, Ras Kass, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Dre, Aziz Ansari, Wu-Massacre and More

Welcome back to Turning the Screw, Rocks Off's weekly rap post. It probably won't rhyme, at least most of the time. E-mail tips to introducingliston@gmail.com. Thanks, homies.

Single of the Week: "Bring The Kush Back Freestyle," ATW

Attn: Houston's Underground Rappers: You are on notice. These two gentlemen here, Church and Montana, are not dicking around.

Wire to Wire

Z-Ro's in love again. We absolutely have to meet the woman that inspired this track.

Devin released some new music from his upcoming album too. A proper way to start the week, for certain.

And here's a link to Lil' O's Tha Flood 1.5 mixtape. We scored some time to talk to him about his widely slept on Da Fat Rat Wit Da Cheese for the new Y'all Musta Forgot segment. Be here Thursday for that.

Chopped and Screwed Video of the Week

Because you either missed it or forgot about it:

UGK, "Let Me See It"

Hip Hop DX has a somewhat entertaining feature up comparing how rappers flip the same samples in their songs. Devoid of any real analysis, it's still worth checking out because a few Houston guys are mentioned.

Nicki Minaj will be on the cover of the upcoming issue of Fader. We are not mad about that.

Ras Kass asked his fans to donate $3,800 so he could release an album. Public Enemy asked their fans to donate $250,000 so they could release theirs. They both are overpriced, if you ask us.

Lil Wayne had eight root canals to prepare for his bid in prison?! Gross.

Not too long ago we got a letter from the IRS saying we owed them a fair bit of money. Nas got that same letter. We'll see him in prison, we suppose, because it doesn't look like either one of us can afford what they're asking.

Beyonce is on the list of Gold and Platinum award winners from this past decade. Not a big surprise there. Paul Wall is also on there. That is a surprise. It's also a lie. Booyah.

Dr. Dre is working on a dance record?! Gross. Aziz Ansari has officially entered the "Everything I Say Is Funny" category of comedians. And since we're here, remember that time he made fun of mixtape DJs by talking the whole time over Jay and Kanye's "Hate"? That shit was hilarious.

Tracklisting for the Wu-Massacre is out.

There are rumors out that Shyne signed a seven-figure deal with Def Jam. If that's not including numbers after the decimal, then they probably paid a little to much. We mean, Shyne was good and all, but not seven-figures good.

Russell Simmons is a bit leery of Red Cross donations to Haiti.
