This weekend Rocks Off also brought along our littlest member, our Flip camera, to Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin. It proved to be indispensable in tight places where a regular still camera may not be as useful. Here's a smattering of what we captured through it's tiny lense. We are sure you will be seeing ol' girl at this weekends Westheimer Block Party as well.
Enjoy the videos after the jump, with much more Fun Fun Fun coverage to come.
Metallagher, "Creeping Death"
We braved life and stains on our jacket to catch the Metallica/Gallagher cover band on the tiny Yellow stage in the south end of the park.
Death, "Keep On Knocking"
The band went on about 20 minutes late, but these rediscovered Detroit proto-punk kings set it off.
You can't beat the band Fucked Up! when they have a captive audience and lead singer Pink Eyes is feeling frisky.
The Sword, "Freya"
Rawwwk! Austin's modern metal laureates held things down Saturday afternoon, even jamming out on some stuff we hadn't heard yet.
Evil Elvis made us wait for a good half-hour last night until he went on, but he brought the goods, even though security was none to thrilled with the camera flashes going off. Danzig has a strict anti-photogograhy rule in concert, but our own Marc Brubaker got plenty of shots off anyhow.
Easily the best show of the weekend for Rocks Off, with frontman David Yow going full contact with the assembled sweaty throngs to close out Saturday night. The band ran through a set of old classics and sounded as hefty as ever.
