It's 4:30 p.m. and Taylor Hicks, Clay Aiken, John Mayer, Nickelback and ICP Still Suck

You haven't seen nutso fans until you've seen the new breed from Adam Lambert fans. I wrote a column about a month ago. I mentioned I was not a fan of Lambert. I never knew I needed to have surgery on my ears because he was the best singer in the world.
Be careful what you write about him because you, your family and your neighbors will all be minced meat when they get through with you.
Give me the Claymates anytime. They at least aren't vile. Crazy yes, but not vile.
Actually you are mistaken. Kelly Clarkson fans are the original rabid nutjob fans.

A few years ago, I reviewed the Kelly Clarkson/Clay Aiken concert in what used to be the Delta Center (now the EnergySolutions Arena). I wrote that Clay put on a better show than Kelly.
Oh, man, did that open the floodgates. Kelly Clarkson fans bombarded me with e-mails. Even fans who didn't attend the show took me to task. "I've seen her before and know you are wrong" is an example of the e-mails I received.
But nothing prepared me for the death threats.
Three Kelly Clarkson fans -- one from Japan -- told me they'd kill me if they met me.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 5:54PMHe doesn't have the nerves/guts to mess with the Adam Lambert fans.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 6:57PMWhy would I be scared of Adam Lambert fans? Haha
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 7:10PMIts also created a sub sub-species of bloggers and reporters who stalk and harass the goofball fans. Talk about having nothing to do.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 7:28PMCH:
Nicely written, nicely thought out, and nicely accurate about the not-so-nice adopt-a-baby-celeb culture out there. There's lots of schlocky music out there masquerading as talent; I'm glad my son took up Guitar Hero to find some of the less crappy stuff. And I never expected to say that.
Thanks for posting a video of one of my favorite Taylor Hicks songs. Awesome!
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 8:46PMThank you for reminding me about Season Two of American Idol. I'll have to go and download the whole Clay Aiken season from YouTube now.
Loved it. Great talent.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 9:14PMYOu aint seen nothin yet until you make even the slightest hint that you're not fond of anything that Adam Lambert does! They are in a category all by themselves.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 9:27PMI've never come across any fanbase more vicious that the Adam Glamberts. They have a trail of nasty comments to anyone who dares to not like Adam's singing. The internet just about exploded when Clay Aiken mentioned on his private fan club Adam's version of Ring Of Fire made his ears bleed. He apologized to Adam, but the Glambert fans are bashing Clay right and left holding a huge grudge.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 9:36PMThis website shows an example of the kind of posts Adam Lambert fans post about Clay Aiken. You won't find anything like this at any Clay's message board.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 10:35PMIf you want to talk about mediocre talent, American Idols are not the right targets. Those guys can sing their faces off. The ones that need bashing are guys like Kanye West and Chris Brown who can't sing without auto-tune and special effects. Taylor Swift sounds like shit Live. Pick on singers who can't sing or pick on the *ssholes that beat women and have no manners.
The American Idol singers are nice kids with honest talent. I guess its easier to kick the nice ones than to go after the ones that need kicking.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 14 2009 @ 10:36PMClay fans are angry at Adam because he is winning the World Idol challenge. And I have seen lots of bashing of Adam on Clay sites.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 4:17AMOne of the best performance videos of Taylor ever taken, and one of the most beautiful songs- thank you for posting it.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 4:32AMSeems Clay fans have a new obsession aimed at trashing Lambert Fans.
Your article is spot on but oh, wait a minute isn't that why you write about them in the first place? So fans will come flocking to your website.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 6:11AMAs a New Zealander with little interest in the American Idol talent show, and even less in the singers it has thus far spawned, I only just happened upon Adam Lambert in this season's show. I quickly became a fan.
It has come as no surprise to hear the likes of Brian May (Queen)predicting world stardom for this young singer. Lambert has what it takes to become this generation's major - male - transformative pop/rock star. What has surprised me is the level of hatred and predjudice directed at him (throughout the show)for his sexual orientation.
I am not familiar with the Idol "fan wars" or the excesses of fan love this article addresses. I do wonder whether some of the accusations made about these excesses in the behaviour of (some) Lambert fans may have something to do with their sense of indignation at the predjudice and "gay bashing" that have gone on.
As a fan I have visited many of Idol fan and blog sites, and have been sickened by the homophobic comments made about Lambert. Comments range from out and out homophobic hatred to snide remarks about his appearance or mannerisms.
Perhaps New Zealanders have moved with the times, but I have been shocked by how prevalent - and vocal - the anti-gay movement is in your country. Little wonder, perhaps, if his fans seem over-zealously protective of their star!
Thankfully, the music industry big guns are not interested in anything other than Lambert's outstanding talent.
Just one question Craig.
What was you motive in writing such a negative article? I'm sure you knew the comments you would receive. From what I see, this article has become a cesspole of bashing different fan bases. You should feel really proud of yourself. Did you get all the hits you were looking for? I agree with the poster re: leave the talented down-to-earth Idols alone. Go after the supposed singer, the once again classy Kanye West and his nutso fans who keep supporting him. Since Walt brought up the subject of Adam Lambert so graciously (sarcasm), I don't belong to any fanbase but I agree with the Islasands. Adam Lambert and his fans had a lot of hatred thrown their way from the beginning of American Idol. Seems it still exists if the comments here are any indication. I don't blame his fans for being very protective & supportive of him. From what I see he's always been a class act and has a talent very rarely seen in young artists today.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 7:01AMOne of the headlines, i heard was Clay saying something nasty abt Adam. [REMINDER -CLAY STARTED IT ALL!] From that moment on, although i never heard of Clay, when i did hear of him, saw him pictures and all, I couldn't help but dislike him for what he had said - NOT A NICE MAN! I'm just glad that Adam brushed him off. He apologized later.. hey for what???? you've spilled the milk, Clay!! and it's true, he did it just to get the attention.. and now, he and his fans have indeed gotten the attention.. known as Adam-bashers.
It's pretty clear Clay needed a boost to his image because nobody really knew him for the past many years since he joined idol. I didn't know he was an idol contestant until he commented about Adam's singing style (why not comment on other crap singers? oh i forgot, coz Adam's so good, he needed attention through a greater person)
Btw, didn't know Clay was once an idol contestant. he must have been pretty average because i remembered the other contestants in that season he was in, but never noticed him.
And then thanks to this MJ guy, is he Clay's right hand person?? for spreading more hatred.
Hey, Adams fans have as much right to defend their idols.
Clay, MJ and clay fans are definitely riding Adam's coat-tail - all bunched together. Enjoy the ride!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 7:17AMI bet no one knows who Clay Aiken is anymore. (Well, except for his fans of course) I do admit that I was HUGE DEDICATED fan of him during the season but he just faded away for me after that. He's just not as popular as before unlike Carrie or Kelly who was able to maintain their fame.
I do admit that I stopped watching after Season 7 so I'm not really sure about Adam. I'll just see what he puts out in his album and if I like it, I'll buy.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 7:30AMIf all you people think Adam Lambert sux so much then why would you go on his fan site anyway. I am on the Adamazing site all the time, every day and I've never heard anybody bashing anybody. I think your just making this crap up to make Adam fans look bad!! Adam fans are the most respectful group of fans that are on the internet and are just rooting on they're baby, cuz he's in tons of polls and he's competing w/ claymates. They just think Adam is 10 x's better than clay! You don't know what your talking about! Lol!!!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 7:50AMAnd for your information 'Fan' who ever you are, Adam is winning the World Idol competition by 2000 votes!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 7:53AMI really tried to read this article, but the poor grammar made my head swim.
American Idols are an easy target, do some research and write an educated opinion.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 7:59AMSweetiepie for the record your winning by cheating which has totally taken the fun out of the competition. You've recruited 4 different fan bases to help in the poll, as well as, using hide IP programs to power vote, plus after all your complaining to TW got 1200 free votes. Childish behavior for sure.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 8:31AMLOL!!! The Claymates are swarming this board!! They are proving the author's point. The first post pretending to be a fake author...lol!! Then pointing to MJ's big idol blog. MJ is notorious for editing and altering posts and putting up fake posts. MJ is the biggest Claymate of them all. Go over there and try to post something anticlay and within 10 minutes it will be reworded. DOn't confuse the big Idol blog with the more professional Mj's blog. She is sane.
They went full gun after Archie, Cook and Studdard now it appears they have Lambert in their sites. LOL!! with these posts especially "Walt" the fake author. These Claymates are creepy!!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 8:38AMClay who ???? just like a fart in the wind - here and gone.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 8:59AMHeres a comment right of Archelta's board: Tweeterwall is a joke manipulated completely behind the scenes. Not only that, but someone sent me a link to a couple Adam boards and they have been begging other fans bases to vote for Adam, making deals with them. You are only supposed to vote once every 20 minutes, but they vote 20-30 times with IP changing software. Some of the posts at this board indicated some of them had several windows open with the IP software and were getting in huge amounts of votes. Just beware of Adam fans, they cheat and then send emails to the CEO of twitterwall to accuse others of cheating. They think Adam is the world idol, but he hasn’t even released a CD yet. He won a contest. David has done much more than that to prove himself. Adam fans are experts at cheating on polls.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 9:01AMWow, attack of the Claymates. Craig are you sorry now you wrote this article or are you having fun with the Claymates? I don't blame you. It's kind of fun watching them foam at the mouth. I see they are furiously posting away and up to their old tricks of ripping apart every American Idol contestant, you and anyone who dares speak about their ole mighty Clay. Seven years have passed and these people still don't have lives yet. How sad.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 9:12AMCarly, I have yet to see a Claymate on here bashing another idol. I'm a fan of DA's and I don't see anyone doing the bashing but the Glamberts. The Claymates aren't going to have a nervous breakdown if Clay comes in 2nd on this poll, they are done with anything to do with Idol after this poll is over. No hard feelings.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 9:35AMHey, Craig, enjoyed the article to no end, funny as hell and right on the money. I only wanted to add that there is a lot of real talent on AI: Kelly, Jordan, David Cook, Carry, Daughtry, Jenifer Hudson to name a few. I also agree with sameold, there are a lot of so-called singers outthere (Kanye West)that can't carry a tune for their lifes, but think that they fell out of god's rear end, and are allowed anything and everything, the joke should be on them. Last thing, I'm happy you stayed away from Adam, I am a fan, have been since before AI,(look up his performance in "ten commandments"). I hope you are a fan as well, he is THE BEST TALENT to be on AI ever. As for overzelous fans, let them have fun, it is all in the name of intertainment.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 10:11AMMust give a shout out to mjsbigblog here. I don't know who MJbigidolblog is, but I read and post comments on mjsbigblog and she runs a good site. She doesn't let fan wars get too out of hand and posters are not allowed to attack each other. That being said, other sites are not so great. Until Adam Lambert appeared on Idol this past year, I was never even motivated to care about what anybody on the internet has ever said about my favorite singers or musical groups, but I love Adam, he's just amazing, so off I went searching for info. And WOW! such reactions! People either love or hate Adam and they are not afraid to speak it. I was horrified at some of the really awful spew I read about him on some sites and left those as quickly as I found them, without commenting. Why would I engage such homophobic idiots? And then I was equally horrified at some of the over the top comments from his more heavily invested fans when even the slightest criticism was spoken about him. It's the music business, people. Criticisms come and Adam is not some child we all have to look after. After I read his Rolling Stone interview, I was pretty convinced he has the ability to make good decisions and look after himself quite nicely.
Haha. Yep, they are proving your point right here in this thread. Interesting how they ignored your point about acting as if they know these AIers personally.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 10:42AMAnyone on here comparing ADAM LAMBERT to Clay Aiken or Taylor Hicks or David Archulta is either jealous or deaf/blind. They all had huge fanbases after Idol but then flopped once they hit the real world. Adam is not only the smartest, funniest, and most talented person to ever set foot on the Idol stage, he's the most exciting thing to happen to the music industry in decades. And this is not just me as a fan saying this - many people in the media and the entertainment industry agree and have said so publicly. I cannot wait for his album releasing November 24, as well as his single "Time For Miracles" which will be the theme song for the Blockbuster movie 2012. I expect both to sell millions and soon everybody in the world will know what I know - ADAM LAMBERT is THE WORLD IDOL.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 11:03AMThis is a reply to Walt.
I am a proud (and maybe too obsessed) Adam Lambert fan but I have not and will never be vile to anyone.
Please don't lump all Lambert fans together. It's a stereotype that does not fit.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 11:20AMAnd the bat-crap crazies have crawled out of the wookwork and proven your point. Good job, Craig!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 11:21AMWhy are all these comments about Adam Lambert and his fans anyway? The article didn't even mention Adam - it was about the "bat-crap crazy" Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks fans. I hate that Adam is getting dragged into this discussion when he has done nothing wrong except be a rawk god with a HUGE number of fans waiting for his upcoming album. Everywhere I go I read slams and comments on Adam from homophobic jounalists and bloggers, and then when Adam's fans defend him (as they should), they get lumped in with the crazy Claymates and Soul Patrol. It's not fair and it's not right. Leave Adam alone and let him get on with his career. I have no doubt he will soon be talked about in the "higher echelon" like your beloved Carrie, David Cook, and Kelly Clarkson.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:04PMIn 'my' opinion, everyone is entitled to voice their opinion. What makes me mad is when someone uses the name of Taylor Hicks or anyone else that is well loved by their fans, just to get picked up by google so people go to read their blogs. Not saying you did that but I have seen it done more than once. I happen to be a Hicks fan, I love his voice! Do I care what you have to say about him? NO! I couldn't care less. But I think if you listened to some of his songs you might have a different opinion. THAT is MY opinion :)
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:05PMomg pple, tweeterwall is not that deep!!lmao!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:10PMWow, shouldn't most of these kiddos commenting be in school?
Also rabid-jackass-fanbases: Radiohead and Tori Amos.
I like both, but get into any sort of conversation with a Radiohead die-hard and you're entering the Indier-than-thou gauntlet of "I liked them before they even formed."
And Tori Amos fans worship her like she was a godly orgasm factory. It's downright disturbing.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:24PMWow thanks for the video of Taylor Hicks that was really good. I have not kept up with Taylor Hicks but looks like he is putting out some great music. Will now look up his latest cd. THANKS AGAIN.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:25PMClaymates are a bat crazy bunch of loony tunes. So who are they attacking this time. It looks like Adam Lambert. The article didn't even mention the guys name. Next season of American Idol it will be one of the top 4 that they will all gang up on. They've done it season after season. They'll all be doing it from their nursing homes some day. Scouting the Internet for their next target.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:53PMThanks for the Taylor video; the man holds his fans in the palm of his hand. He is a hard worker who has earned his fame, and I hope he will stay in the music charts for years to come. There are few singers today who have his charisma onstage. Critics notes can be disregarded when a person has seen and appreciated an artist from the start, and not use and repeat crass remarks taken from other critics who have never seen a performer in person.
I challenge each of these critics to go see Taylor before they write about him.
I agree with the writers on this blog, who have stated these critics should go after the bigger artists, who have become so uncouth and damaging in their song choices. These are the people who are ruining music. No critic has the courage to write about them for fear of being sued, I suppose?
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 12:59PMHow in the world did Adam Lambert get into this one?. He is not even mentioned in this silly article. it's like Adam is not mentioned here let's bring him in and hope his fans see it. why can't u guys leave the guy and his fans alone?. when his fans come rushing to defend him, they are labelled claymates, crazy, vile etc. if u don't bring him up, i bet u , his fans will not show up.
funny thing Taylor Hicks, ICP,John Mayor who are mentioned in this articule have little or no mention in the comments. Focus guys, Focus. it shouldn't be about Adam all the time.
FYI every freaking celebrity has obsessive fans. U just have not met them yet.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 1:00PMJust wondering - are most of Adams' fans men or women? Does anyone know? please answer if you do. I know that both Taylor and Clay are ladies men. The vast majority of their fans are women. Think this is probably true with Adam, but not sure.
Oh, by the way -- Congratulations, Craig. You have done it again!!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 1:07PMAdam Lambert has millions of fans and they are men, women, young, old, gay, straight, and from all around the world. Unlike previous Idol contestants who have only had the overweight grannies or the tween girls, Adam appeals to everyone. That is why he is the most buzzed-about Idol ever, and will become the most successful one globally.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 1:15PMIdol breeds intense fans because it is weeks of seeing their favorite on TV. And if you really look at most of the fanbases, they will all behave the same way.
Lambert Fans will go on about how is a rock star and he brings something unique to the music world.
Hicks fans will rave about his soulfullness and remind you of his role in Grease.
Aiken fans will not let you off the hook without ticking off a laundry list of his millions of albums and all his soldout touring or his recent time in Spamalot that was praised by critics (dontcha know) or his oh so admirable charity work.
Why? Because they are fans and that's what fans do. A portion of each fanbase goes over the top but you know what? Go to any major sporting event (MLB, NFL, NBA) and you'll see and hear the same type of behavior. And these GUYS will defend their favorites with their dying breath too (often wearing rather strange clothing or facial paint).
But I guess those kinds of blogs don't get as many hits.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 1:23PMyou have to hand it to Mr. Lambert. He is not even mentioned in the article and yet more than half the posts are about him. amazing!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 1:47PMThanks for the fantastic video of Taylor Hicks. This man can sing. I will be seeing him live at Epcot, Disney World. November 1, 2 2009. I wish it were tomorrow.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 2:30PMI don't know why, but Taylor Hicks reminds me of some of the devout, saintly Catholic priests I have known throughout my life.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 2:31PMJust look at all the Adam fans coming out of the woodwork to defend their idol and bash everyone else. Adam fans alone have proved the point without even being mentioned in the article. Easy to see who the nasty fans are.
Kris Allen, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Hicks, David Archeletta, Clay Aiken and David Cook are all in different genres of music from Adam. Adam is going to be competing in the rocker world, not AI from now on. Time to get over it because you just make yourselves look bad.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 3:07PMOh, Glamberts are the sweetest fans on earth! Of course! Now that is HILARIOUS!

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa
"I've never come across any fanbase more vicious that the Adam Glamberts."
This
"Give me the Claymates anytime. They at least aren't vile. Crazy yes, but not vile."
And this.
Adam Lambert fans (aka Glamberts)are gonna give the Claymates a run for the money. LOL
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 4:28PMI love how all the old frustrated Claymates and desperate Soul Patrol come here bashing Adm's fans just to try to pull him down to their failed Idol's level. Well it's not going to work, considering all the media attention and love for him in the industry. His album is being released the week of Black Friday, which means he'll get all the xmas sales and will be poised to hit PLATINUM during the holidays, unlike some other failed Idols I could name. How much did Taylor Hicks or Clay Aiken sell of their last albums? Less than 100K right? Adam will sell that in one day. Just wait - Adam will prove all the homophobic haters wrong.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 4:57PMAll this article and the responses say to me is how popular Adam Lambert acutally is. He is not even mentioned in the article and then the response/comment thread become ALL Adam Lambert all the time. The man has not even put out an official single yet and every blog and comment streem evolves to an Adam discussion.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 5:43PMAll this article and the responses say to me is how popular Adam Lambert acutally is. He is not even mentioned in the article and then the response/comment thread become ALL Adam Lambert all the time.
Or it simply means that the Glamberts are as bat-crap crazy as the Claymates and Soul Patrol, since they swoop in with pitchforks and torches to comment defensively on an article that doesn't even pertain to him.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 6:25PMIt's quite possible the writer of this article enjoys Adam. Why are people assuming he'd want to trash him too? Also, as pointed out, Adam wasn't even mentioned in the article, yet he was pretty much the first some tried to trash. I'd say some people are feeling the heat of Adam taking the spot of the number one Idol of all times. I truly believe he's right up with with the actual declared winners and will shine in the months and years to come. (as is Kelly, Daughtry and Underwood)
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 6:40PMIf you had wondered about the insanity of Adam Lambert's fans? You have just received your first taste of it.
have fun!!!!
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 8:40PMIt's pretty sad when fans of Adam Lambert find it necessary to put down anyone who cannot for whatever reason, think he is the quintassential, ultimate best ever singer on the planet. He has proved nothing on his own and yet his fans predict he will sell one million albums his first week. I wonder what exactly they have been drinking. I think Adam is a poser and a real con artist. He will drop a certain demographic when he is finally able to get away from idol clutches and I would be very interested to see the type of concert he will eventually put on. He is definitely a niche artist and I doubt that middle America will be interested in him. JMO!
I will much prefer to buy Susan Boyles cd, which comes out the same week as Lamberts.
Craig, thanks for the most entertaining article of the day. I'm gonna grab some popcorn and laugh at these fools until they run out of steam. Good job.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 9:21PMThe Glamberts take crazy to new heights. I'm popping corn and sticking around to watch.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 9:46PM"Anyone on here comparing ADAM LAMBERT to Clay Aiken or Taylor Hicks or David Archulta is either jealous or deaf/blind. They all had huge fanbases after Idol but then flopped once they hit the real world."
who says they flopped? Glamberts are insane, and yes, they are vile!!!!! They have the idea that every person should worship their idol and if not, they are ready to attack! AL lost because millions of people dislike his screeching and screaming, much more millions that the ones that like it.It's that simple. AI did not even talked about the number of votes for each contestant, presumably because Kris won by a landslide and it would be embarrasing for the judges to let people know since the pampering was so obvious from the beginning. AL is not the best thing in the world, only his lunatic fans think so!
Here's a laugh for you Dr. Heckle. What a poser!

Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 10:20PMMr. Hyde, *high fives Mr. Hyde* Good find. Now I have to go bleach my eyes.
These people are insane.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 11:06PMI strongly suspect that there is a sock in that crotch in that video. Let him go back to performing in those clubs where he can dress up as a woman or hump the guys on stage with him.How about more pictures of Lambert making out with men in clubs.Yes indeed, a real class act. His fans should be so proud...karma is a bitch....lets see where this poser is in a few years...He is laughable and his fans pathetic.
Posted On: Tuesday, Sep. 15 2009 @ 11:16PMNot to mention AL called his fans "sweaty and smelly" and that he wouldn't stick it in there.
How hypocritical. The Claymates are calling the glamberts insane. Pshhh. Like they WEREN'T like that.
Posted On: Wednesday, Sep. 16 2009 @ 3:57AMGlamberts have offended and alienated everyone but the Canadian Idol fans they have a deal with. They can't even win a lousy poll on their own. Adam doesn't have as many fans as they think.
Posted On: Wednesday, Sep. 16 2009 @ 10:48AMIt doesn't matter because Season 9 will have the best Idol ever. The poor Glamberts will just have to deal with their guy being last years discontinued model. Enjoy while it lasts.
Posted On: Wednesday, Sep. 16 2009 @ 11:09AMAdam will tour small clubs the first time solo, His fans think he can fill Wembley Stadium. Cracks me up!
Posted On: Wednesday, Sep. 16 2009 @ 11:27AMClay is the greatest talent out there right now and these authors need to wake up to it!! Clay is here to stay. He is far better than anything that has come from American Idol ever!! He is far better than Nickleback or any of those you mentioned in your lame article. We have been behind clay for 7 years now and have not quit!! Fans aren't this loyal unless the person they are supporting is a true genius!! We will outlast Cook, Archuleta, Underwood Clarkson, Lambert all of them!! You homophobic authors spewing your hatred will not stop us from supporting him!!
Posted On: Wednesday, Sep. 16 2009 @ 3:59PMNo, Adam will probably open for Lady GaGa before he can support a small club tour. Maybe they will make his concerts free like they did Daughtry or have buy-backs of his CD's to improve his sales.
I cant WAIT to refer back to these posts in 3 months and tell everyone who doubted the success of Adam how wrong they were for doubting. It's going to be fun! Have you watched ANY of the concert videos on youtube? ANY day - ANY venue AT LEAST 50% are there for Adam (while they might like the others but wouldnt spend money to see the group minus Adam). Read some reviews from any newspaper in any city that the concert was held. I wish Aiken all the success in the world and am happy he has loyal fans and can provide them with joy as Adam has for many of us. I simply cant understand why his fans cant be happy for the idol that currently has the wind beneth his sails as Clay did 7 years ago...Adam fans didnt try and take away his moment then...
Its rude to wish the failure upon someone else even if you dont like their lifestyle or in this case vocals. I'm happy to be a fan of an Idol that shares the same POV on peace and positive thinking!
So you've got like 20 comments bashing Adam fans before any Adam fan even enters the thread and it is the Adam fans that are vicious and rabid? Try the haters.
Adam fans are in a great place, no need for them to be stress heads. Half of the crazy 'Glambert' posts you see written below these articles are actually written by 'pretend' fans trying to perpetuate the Claymate notion for some bizarre reason.
Only thing that really bothers Adam fans is the homophobia - like we see in prettyinpink and britishbabes comments. Even that is so done to death now that most of us just roll our eyes and think 'haters to the left'.
Posted On: Wednesday, Sep. 16 2009 @ 11:05PMI saw Johnny Cash in concert years ago. What I said then reminds me of you now. "I wish I were that popular."
Did it ever occur to you that we're having fun?
No, eh?
Didn't think so. Loosen up.
Posted On: Thursday, Sep. 17 2009 @ 8:10PMCraig! I'm a writer too and reviewed an Idol concert. Since I didn't say I wanted to lick the foundation off of Lambert I was told in the anonymous comments section how much I sucked at my job and life. Truth be told I enjoyed Adam but my kind words weren't powerful enough for his fans.
Anyway I have a manager/editor to answer to so they made me look horrible.
I just skimmed your article but will read the whole thing tomorrow. Thanks and I wish you luck getting through this.
Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 7:27PMWell it's hard to not be passionate about someone with extreme musical talent.
Thanks for posting the "Maybe You Should" video of Taylor, so beautiful!
Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 7:44PMHow dare you, sir? How. Dare. You. How could you fail to mention the greatest mocker of this phenomenon of "Bat-Shit Crazy Fandom," the American Idol blog known to man and martian:
http://www.idletard.com
Brian May, Bono, Jay-Z,and Lil Mama have said nothing about Idletard, so that shows how much you know. Adam Lambert! (I just threw that in to give you some internet traffic.) How many other superstars of blogging can boast a 10 octave range and the ability to play 5 instruments simultaneously? Idletard can't, but so what? She's exactly what America wants right now. She's going to be multi-platinum!! (According to her hair dresser.) When she reaches superstardom, you, sir, will eat your words. The ones you never said.
Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 8:06PMI didn't see Clay's season of Idol (thank God!), but from what I've heard, it sounds like the batshit crazy segment of Adam's fanbase is giving them a run for their money.
For further proof, check the comments sections of any article written immediately after the finale to witness the epic meltdowns when Adam failed to win a karaoke contest. As if the runner up gets shot in the face once the winner is announced. I especially loved the hundreds of posts implying that you were a raging homophobe for preferring another singer, even though Adam was very polarizing. Because we all know that a vote for Kris was a vote for Prop 8. Gotta love those who put Idol on the same level as important social issues.
Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 8:48PMThe OTT Glamberts need to learn from the Soul Patrol and the Claymates. Bat-shit crazy fans kills music careers. I personally think Kris Allen will have more success than Adam. I think Adam's dance music, glam-rock, hot mess will be a disater and as much as his fans defend him to the end, something tells me they will pass when it comes opening their wallets.

Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 10:27PMGlambert fans are the most hate filled, nasty, delusional, and insane fans.
They are sickening. They scour any and all articles about American Idol and brag about how Adam is so great. They are making me sick of Adam. The Glamberts are the ones who are turning me off about Adam with their nasty comments.
Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 10:32PMExcuse me, Lil Lulu, but so what? So. What? You make it sound like it doesn't matter that Idletard doesn't have a 10 octave range and can't play five instruments simultaneously. My good Lord in heaven, just what rock have you been living under?!
Of course it matters-it matters a great deal because who wants to read a blog written by a person who is only good at finding stories about demented fans and writing about them? It may be enough for someone like you but for someone with standards it is not enough! A blogger worth their salt has to have at least a 10 octave range and ability to play five instruments at once because it shows dedication and versatitly something you obviously know nothing about considering your blase' brush off the fact Idletard cannot do those very important things.
OH and another thing-you forgot to mention, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and two of the Beatles have said nothing about Idletard either-I know because I talk with Sylvia Browne weekly and nope nothing-so that shows how much YOU know, Lil Miss Lulu smarty pants.
Posted On: Sunday, Sep. 20 2009 @ 10:49PMWell well well, lol! I think a lotta pple need to cool off around here...
I've always watched AI, from seasons 2 to 8. I liked Clay back then, as I like Adam Lambert now. They can both sing their faces off, both ended up in 2nd place, but have completely different styles - so why do these fan bases keep comparing them? It just doesn't make any sense! It's NOT a competition, there's always room for real talent! If they've got it, they've got it, period. And we all like and dislike different stuff, what's so wrong with that? U guys should just relax...
Besides, Clay's got the right to say whatever he feels like about anyone - and I'm pretty sure Adam couldn't have cared any less about what he said... the fans are the only ones who actually give a damn...
As for the article comments about the fans: they weren't, I thought, directed to EVERY single fan of Clay or whoever else, but to the crazy fanatic fan bases who keep on bashing other pple for not liking their "babies", that's all.
Jeez, lol, aren't some pple touchy...
Great article, loved it!
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 21 2009 @ 9:09AMon the real, who gives a damn about what any critic has to say, or how any fan chooses to ''fan'' or ''tard'' over their favorite... people like what they like, these artists and many more are making bank, more than the critics and those at sites like vftw and idletard, who like poking fun at them, and the fans. those two places are so hypocritical, as are most critics - they mock ''tards'', but they themselves are all former ones, or so they say, but their mocking and so called satire is nothing more to me than an excuse to keep up their obsession with idol contestants and their fans... and they think nothing off going all around the web planting provocative quotes and stories just to create and fuel unnecessary drama... so what if people like puffy paint, so what if they like signs, so what if they like hicks, aiken, mayer, nickelback... it's america, right... the crtitics and their ''too hip for the room'' schtick is all played out, and the day is coming when those sites and the people behind them will be exposed and mocked with the same veracity and venom in which they do others...
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 21 2009 @ 10:21AMmj is a hypocritical dog faced bitch, and she has absolutely no redeeming values at all... she claims her blog is not a fan site or board - ha! she allows it to be overrun with all kinds of outlandish and ott comments from artists fanbases she likes - if she doesn't care for the artist, comments from their fans are moderated and edited more closely and severely. a hypocritical dog faced bitch wanna be respectable journalist... yeah right. she allowed the lambert fans to totally take over and control her blog this season, with some of the most ott fan gushing and bullshit allowed to post there i've ever seen. she no doubt she is a tool of vftw and idol, and has no credibility anymore in my eyes whatsoever.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 21 2009 @ 10:31AMit's weird because in reading these comments I don't see many glambert/Adam fans so unless they are here trashing themselves I think the statementa that they have swarmed this site are a tad ridiculous.
Adam has crazy fans just like any other artist that goes without saying obviously. Idol breeds it into the fans to be competitive however, the claims that Adam's fans are the "worst ever" seems a bit premature considering he's only been off the show for 4 months and therefore their fandom is relatively new and fresh, which would in turn mean they should be more passionate (everything is more passionate in the beginning isn't it?). Check back in 6 years and see if they are still at the level of crazy displayed by the Claymates and then perhaps a meaningful comparison can be made.
It is worth noting that the very first comment was regarding Adam's fans, not the fans of those mentioned in the article.
Posted On: Monday, Sep. 21 2009 @ 12:11PMWhy don't you write an article about Adam Lambert to see just how vicious his fans can be.
They are loopy about him. Which is quite funny because AL himself said he'd have to get drunk to even be with any of them.
