Turning the Screw: Clinton Sparks, Bun B & Slim Thug, More Bun B, Jazzy Jeff, Erykah Badu, Pitbull, Big Mello, etc.

Welcome back to Turning the Screw, Rocks Off's weekly rap post. It probably won't rhyme, at least most of the time. E-mail tips to introducingliston@gmail.com. Thanks, homies.

(Super, Super Cool) Single of the Week: "Pack The Gat," Clinton Sparks feat. Bun B and Slim Thug

Wire To Wire

If there's a rap concert anywhere in Houston, do not be surprised to see Bun B called out on stage.

We're not completely sure, but we suspect there's some sort of message that Rock City is trying to relay with their Put The Fucking Album Out campaign.

This is an okay video about the new DJ Hero video game, but there's one exceptional part. During an interview, DJ Jazzy Jeff talks about how when he first got started they used to call him a "bathroom DJ" because he would go to the club and just sit there and wait until the performing DJ would leave for a bathroom and then Jeff would jump up there and put on a record. Nutsos. That's hustle, yo.

Gawdammit! Erykah Badu just joined the Mos Def tour that we covered last week. We had our fingers crossed the entire time that she was going to emerge from behind the stage's curtains, lock eyes with ours, and then invite us backstage for some "whatever happens happens" time.

Pitbull was given the keys to Miami. Maybe next someone will give him the keys to a plane that he can then fly into the side of a mountain. Just kidding, Pit.

Bow Wow signed with Lil Wayne's Cash Money label. Said Wayne: "This is great. We're really glad to have such a fresh young artist in Lil' Bow Wo - what!? Waddya mean he's not 12 years old anymore?!"

While on vacation in Croatia, Jay-Z allegedly swung at the paparazzi, which begs the question: who the hell vacations in Croatia?

Beanie Sigel looks to up his rapper credibility, gets arrested.

H.I.S.D. has had its share of problems, sure, but one thing you won't hear about is a free 50 Cent concert at one of its schools.

And the award for Smuggest Album Track Listing goes to...

Death Row is going to produce a movie? Yipes. And if that's not telltale enough that it's going to be bad, consider that it's titled Sons 2 The Grave. Any movie that has a number in it in lieu of an actual word (2 instead of "to," 4 instead of "four") is guaranteed to be trash.

Were you aware that Raekwon's mouth is, and we quote, "too small to suck a dick"? You are now.
