Old Quarter Acoustic Café owner Wrecks Bell announced today that the broken beam that supported the roof and second story of the Galveston venue has finally been replaced and the venerable joint will be open for business as of tonight.

Bell, the former Townes van Zandt sideman and Starbucks litigant, is jumping right back into a solid musical lineup. Houston pop rocker Arthur Yoria will have the honor being the first to play at Old Quarter since it was severely damaged during Hurricane Ike.

The remainder of the May lineup is heavily loaded with Houston talent.

Saturday: Humane Society benefit - Vince Bell Book Signing; David Fahl's Bob Dylan Birthday Bash.

Friday, May 29: Blaze Foley Documentary (Drunken Angel) screening; Gurf Morlix

Saturday, May 30: Flamin' Hellcats
