Why You Should Probably Go Ahead and Turn That Shit Down
We all have one of those neighbors who likes to party and turns up their music a little bit too loud. Hell, Rocks Off has been that neighbor more than once. But you might want to think twice about giving the volume knob a little extra crank after this. The Houston Chronicle reports this afternoon that an Aldine woman is now in police custody, facing a murder charge after allegedly shooting her 25-year-old neighbor "at least twice" when the two got into a dispute over the now-dead woman's choice of volume level.
The two argued, the Chronicle reports, and the victim left but later came back and was promptly riddled with bullets for her troubles. The assailant, one Veyonka Pouncy, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Posted On: Tuesday, Oct. 7 2008 @ 4:53PMI live near a major street (S. Post Oak and Willowbend) and we have boom boom cars going by all day and night. They are the bane of my existence. I can hear them with the windows closed and even when I'm taking a shower. They are that loud! I have complained to the City Council and the police and they just laugh because they obviously have much bigger problems and can't solve them all. I am a young man and a musician and music lover so this is not some kind of generation or culture bias thing. I just think people need to be more considerate when driving and listening to music. Music is not a weapon. I wonder if the people who are playing the music are extracting some kind of revenge on society or if they are just clueless. If you are the type to play your music that loud, please think twice about your surroundings. On the freeway is one thing, but on side streets (anywhere with traffic lights or stop signs) should be a quiet zone. I hate sounding like my grandpa, but shouldn't I be able to enjoy my home and my backyard? I am worried that the problem is going to get a lot worse as a decline in music tastes along with a general apathy for other people grows.

Hmmm, this is a first - now she was jumped. Where that one come from? It was reported there was a lot of inconsistencies in her “stories”. It's safe to say, she's buckling. Inquiring minds wanna know, what’s next?
Ashley is truly missed by so many! A precious life taken from her son, her family and friends.
People, think before you act! Something that could have been avoided, ended up with two families being troubly hurt. We don't have to like one another, but we have to learn to respect each another. A small word that's holds such value.
It took me a minute to add the suspect and her family to my prayers. But, I have and my daily prayer is that God softens Veyonka's heart, for the sake of Ashley's son. Veryonka, you were granted the opportunity to have her mother in your life growing up, whatever roll she played. Here a child seats without his mother behind your senseless act of violence. This shouldn't become a finger pointing match, what's done is done, but there's still a chance to salvage the life of a child who will not be as fortunate as so many of us. God have mercy!

So please think of something better!!!!! You can't justify shooting someone that wasn't even a fair match for you. So, once again....think of something better (if you can).

We're standing firm on His word, and belive in our hearts, JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL. That's all being sought, JUSTICE for those of us who love and miss such a preious gem in our hearts so, so much "our" Ashley!

And the killer, Veyonka is still walking around as if she just earned a medal of honor. Veyonka Pouncy is the perfect example of an aged, bitter, heartless, sour, waste of human life. It would be easy not to lash out, but this monster knew exactly what she was doing. This case has nothing to do with loud music!!!!! This was intentional. She was jealous of Ashley and everyone that witnessed Veyonka's stupidity can contest to this fact. She picked arguments and she made threats long before this incident occurred. For that very reason, I hope God has no mercy on her.

And to boost about how you were going to kill Ashley, then prance around and claim self-defense. I’ve wondered to myself, how does the mind of a killer rest? The gratification to witness how you’ve aged, tells me your consciences is getting the best of you. I hope every time you close your eyes images of Ashley's baby suffocates your every thought. My prayer is that the jury has no mercy on you.

Ashley was a beautiful person inside and out. If only we could turn back the hands of time. I was once engaged to Ashley and can say from experience she was the sweetest person I've ever met. Be careful who you hurt while going through life. You never know when it will be too late to say you're sorry.

To Veyonca, that was a very cowardly act that you committed. Did you ever think to walk away when you were going to get that gun?? No, your intentions were to come back and take another human beings life. Ashley was a GREAT person. I feel sorry for you as you have NO idea the magnitude of distruction you've caused. And yet you have the nerve to hold your head up in court like you have not a worry in the world. Your day will come... And I truly hope God has mercy on your miserable soul..
