Candlebox - that's right, Candlebox - who All Music Guide says "unwittingly helped usher in the post-grunge era" and is back from obscurity with new album Into the Sun, hits Warehouse Live. Don't pretend you didn't used to turn this up:

John Mayer visits the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with Brett Dennen and Colbie Caillat. Will Jen be there? Um, probably not, and neither will Eric Clapton, but maybe he'll play some blues anyway.
Speaking of blues, Bobby Blue Bland, who's been to Houston a time or two before, croons the Soul Blues Festival at the Arena Theater with Betty Wright and Willie Clayton. Here's a good one from the '70s:

Sunday, seldom-touring Inglewood, California, grindcore vets Despise You - who vowed "No More Feelings" on 1995's Westside Horizons and, from what I can tell, have kept their promise - headline a Lord's Day White Swan bill over Naw Dude (great name), Pretty Little Flower, Chocolate Crucifix and Satannabis.
