Tonight: George Michael at Toyota Center

Categories: Playbill

George Michael, he of the perpetual stubble, 85 million records sold, seven U.S. No. 1 singles and rap sheet including lewd conduct and passing out in his car, hits Houston for the first time in a month of Sundays when he brings his 25Live tour to Toyota Center tonight (doors at 7 p.m.; show at 8).

Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), Sony BMG is a little stingy with their YouTube rights, which means you have to click away, click away, if you want to watch any of George's official videos like "Faith," "I Want Your Sex," the bathroom-set, LAPD-baiting "Outside" and one I've always especially liked, his Elton John duet "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." I know, I can't believe they let that title slip through either, but it is a really good song. Shut up.

Here's a nice one of George doing the Beatles' swan song "The Long and Winding Road":

And for some reason, the Sony/BMG behemoth seems to have let the video for one of George's lesser No. 1 hits, 1988's "Monkey," slip through the gates:

George discusses his love of weed ("this stuff keeps me sane"), and sings "Somebody to Love" with the surviving members of Queen at 1991's Freddy Mercury tribute concert (he kills), after the jump. Tickets are still available at the Toyota Center Web site. - Chris Gray
