I don’t think there is any other band like Weezer. If we compared them to My Chemical Romance, for example, then there would be a lot of differences; even in appearances. When you see My Chemical Romance's album cover, you see them wearing these matched-up clothes. But you don’t see Weezer wearing the same clothes.

Every one of them is wearing something different and that’s why I think Weezer is so unique. I like the way Weezer isn’t afraid to be themselves and to sing their own songs. Weezer has always had its own way of proving their music is unique and worth listening to, and that is also true on the Red Album.

They have different vibes in the music they play, like cool vibes, smooth vibes and vibes I just don’t understand but that’s what makes them Weezer. My personal favorite song from on the Red Album is called “Heart Songs.” It’s all about how a normal day can sometimes be, yet has a simple and deep meaning into life. It makes you think about how people might feel in their everyday lives.

I think the singer is a little off-pitch, but his words are meaningful. The song “The Spider,” which is another favorite song of mine, makes me start to think, 'What will happen to me when I grow up? Will I have a successful life or a horrible one?' It’s weird that old guys can sing about stuff a teenager feels, but they are good at it.

I think in the song “Everybody Get Dangerous,” however, they were not good at it. It didn’t make any sense. They made it sound like if everyone did get dangerous then maybe it might be the end of the world or something like that, but that’s just my opinion.

Weezer’s music is definitely something that not many bands can translate and my ending to this review is that when I think about Weezer and their music, I think of the band standing long enough to win a few awards. - Vincent Rodriguez
