It's official, the votes are in, and David Beebe is the newest member of Marfa City Council. He won by a razor-thin two-vote margin.
Anyone want to bet on how long it will be before he's the mayor?

Umm, I won't be running for mayor out here- the mayor has no vote and gets blamed for everything the council does. It is a paying job, though- one that I pray I will never need.
First project- a water reclamation cistern and gutter system on our city activity center. It's rained once this year out here. Too dry- David
