Hey now last I checked Morrisey wore leather boots which would I think not make him vegan though that was a while ago maybe he's gone to faux leather now. Ask Abrahán at the front desk, I'm sure hell be able to confirm that.

You missed Moby - isn't he the most famous vegan musician in the world? ;-)

I'm not 100% sure about all the others ... have they all claimed to be vegan in the past 5 years or so?

Ramon: I did not know that wearing leather barred you from veganism. I'm not challenging you -- I just did not know that.

Amanda: When I was putting the list together, at first I left a bunch of the more famous people off, thinking that everybody already knew that about them. Then I added some back in, so I could get the list to 25. I just left Moby off by oversight, I guess.

Let's not forget Avril Lavigne! (She's at least vegetarian, if not vegan.) And she's performing at the Woodlands tonight.

I shall eat a huge, juicy hamburger in their honor this evening.

Vegan includes giving up leather. I would imagine Morrissey has given up leather by now with all the great products that are available.

Joan Jett is also one of the major ones not listed, and one of my personal favorites, but I'm sure there are plenty more than 25. It's very cool that you would point them out and encourage everyone to consider the personal and earthwise benefits of lessening their use of animal products.
