This Just In: “Bodysnatchers” at the Woodlands
Get those credit cards ready, because the band that has little use for traditional album recording and distribution procedures – but isn’t exactly going to let fans name their own price for concert tickets just yet – has announced when they’ll be in our neck of the woods. The Woodlands, that is: the first leg of Radiohead's North American tour finds them chasing In Rainbows all over our fair country and landing at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Saturday, May 17.
Besides adding to an already-busy spring concert calendar up north that includes the Moody Blues (March 22), Rush (April 20), Avril Lavigne (April 25), Kanye West/Lupe Fiasco/Rihanna (May 2) and Roger Waters (May 4), this pretty much ends any speculation that the Bends boys might headline this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival. Oh, well. Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday at noon, but early birds can get a head start Thursday at Radiohead's Web site. – Chris Gray
