Friday's Super Stars of Soul show at the Continental killed it. The place was packed to the sweaty brim with an eclectic crowd, all going wild for Barbara Lynn, Archie Bell, Barbara Mason and Roy Head.

I especially loved Barbara Lynn - at one point, after several beers, I decided I
was Barbara Lynn. When I told my date as much, he said I was wrong.
He was Barbara Lynn. Anyway, if you were wondering how Continental would deal with the smoking ban, then wonder no more. Even though the ban wouldn't officially go into effect until the day after the show, it was being strictly enforced Friday night. Despite the badass show going on inside, the patio was more populated than I've ever seen it. -
