Drenched In Blog: Superbad Tracks

If you were any of the people who contributed to the $31 million haul that Superbad took in this weekend, you were treated to one of the best funk and soul soundtracks since Jackie Brown. Funk comes from a place that is confident and smooth, unlike any of us in high school. Which makes this collection of tunes all that more endearing.


The original score features guys like Clyde Stubblefield, Bootsy Collins, Catfish Collins and Bernie Worrell. These players are pretty much responsible for every deep bass lick and snare slap that made funk so fun in the past 50 years.
