My little brother~

A beautiful mind, an arrogant manner, a heart of gold, a respectful person, an insanely funny sense of humor, a sensitive soul, insite and wisdom beyond his years, with an intense passion for music and art, are all parts of a man that will not be easily forgotten.

Please remember the special ways that he blessed each of us with his life and passion. Morn him briefly and please move on, because you know that is what he wanted. Now he can rest in peace.

To all of you that have shared your heartfelt condolences with our family, we Thank You.

I will always remember his smile and his laugh..The guy was totally a golden spirit and will always have a place in my heart.So,may fun times it just makes me sad that he has left this earth.I can now see him watching all us ,his friends probally poking us in the back when were doing something we shouldn't be doing..R.I.P. firend ....He was soooo sweet and good hearted..I am glad to have met him and will miss him dearly...My prayers go out to his family and friends...

Hunter touched every person who ever met him in so many special ways. He was a wonederfully talented mucisian. He was a wonderful person, with a great peersonallity. He was loved by many, and though gone he will remain in the hearts of many forever! We love you Hunter. "only the good die young!!!!!"

hunter my hunter...i just finished putting some songs together for your service. its 330am...you are running your mom and sisters ragged this week...you best not be sitting there with that smirk of yours. :) as i sat here listening to the rain, playing music and spending time alone...i felt a strange peace. i began to smile behind my tears and it came to me to say "you're free baby, you're free. so long as i live, i will be your voice. i love you." i hope you hear me. i think you do.

i think "anonymous" had good intentions in trying to express pain over losing another talented person to drugs but yes, it came across pretty harsh. it's ok though, "anonymous" is angry and just expressing it.

i was really angry for the first couple days. i didn't know where to put all my thoughts and the flooding of emotion. but, the reality is, he made a choice. he was very loved but also very troubled deep in his heart. the agony, crying and pleading from his family and friends for the last year did not keep him here. the more we loved him, the more he fled. it was a catch 22. do we express love and keep pushing him away? do we not express love and then let him think we don't care? in the end, it it what it is. we loved him, he knew it but he still chose to leave. so, please let's let him go in peace...

i hope that people will not throw slander or try to diminish who hunter really was, he was not a "junkie". he was a very loving son, brother, uncle and friend. but, yes, he was a hurting person who fell into a fire that consumed him. he chose to leave us. he made a choice. there is no one to be angry at.

hopefully people will take this event and learn from it. take your talents and use them for good rather than reliving your pain over and over by feeding your mind with the very thing you are trying to escape from. one thing that i do not understand about some of the music hunter wrote, played and listened to is why the "pain" or "misery" had to be played over and over and over. i know people may find it theraputic but i often wondered if it was only keeping the mind in bondage...

i found myself feeling a little joy today. i looked at his picture and played some good music, i started to smile for the first time in days when normally i smile all the time. let's celebrate who he was ok? let's celebrate life whether he was here for 26 years or longer.

Hunter will truly be missed. His dedicated knowledge of music, movies, and books alone was enough to intimidate the most elitist of conversations. His intelligence and quick thinking could of led him to great success. I truly do think this is a sad lesson for alot of us and hope that the anger, sadness, and pain surrounding this "tragedy" will help the rest of us "the living" learn how to be better people while contributing on this earth.

I am not one that can claim knowing Hunter well, as I knew him as one of PDB's band members mostly. He and I had small conversations here and there over the years at some of their gigs, but I was never one of his true circle of friends. However, in what I did know of him, I know that he was sweet, funny, kind, respectful and truly talented. I also know that he was too young to leave us and I am very sad for that loss.

I attended both his Memorial and his funeral and though both were sad moments for most of us...they were both warm and beautiful too.

Me and a friend both commented at one point that neither of us were sure that we could have been as warm and kind AND as held together as all of his family was (for the most part). They are beautiful people and I'm sad for them most of all.

Sarah and Larry, I would like to commend you both on your speeches. They were both very touching and beautiful and I know sharing those tender moments were not easy. Sarah, I do not think anything you said was unappropriate (despite what you thought). I think most of us were glad you did touch on all that you did. We were just sad that it required you to do so. I agree, there is nothing glamorous about any of this.

In closing, I would like to wish the family and friends of Hunter my deepest sympathy for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. To his band, and all of his musician friends, I hope that you will all find a way to continue on...as I truly think Hunter would want to know that the music he once shared with all of you would find a way to continue on.
