UPDATED: Woman Found in Fridge Was Stabbed, Had Been Missing for Months

Update, Dec. 10, 2014, 9:10 a.m.: Houston police have identified the woman found fatally stabbed at 10555 Fondren as 27-year-old Anastacia Oaikhena Lambert.

HPD also released a photo of Anastacia and her 11-month-old son Apollo, who is still missing, and has been for at least a week. Police believe that he may be with his father, Patrick Lambert, and may be in danger.


The woman who was found dead in a fridge in her southwest Houston apartment had been fatally stabbed, according to an HPD report released Tuesday. Police are now searching for her missing toddler and husband.

The 27-year-old unnamed victim was found in the refrigerator of her Fondren Road apartment after maintenance personnel at the complex became concerned with the foul odor coming from the unit and called police, according to HPD.

The woman had not been seen for at least a month, according to authorities.

Houston Mother Facing Charges for Emaciated Child Found Dead in the Refrigerator

Charges have been filed against a local mother who officials claim kept the emaciated body of her disabled daughter in the crisper drawer of her refrigerator for months following her death.

Amber Keyes was charged Monday with injury to a child by omission in the death of her daughter, nine-year-old Ayahna Comb, who was found stuffed inside a refrigerator drawer in Keyes's Southwest Houston apartment earlier this year.

Keyes is accused of failing to seek medical care for her daughter, who suffered from cerebral palsy and was severely emaciated, weighing just 14 pounds when she was found.

Police Release Video of Man Wanted for Questioning in CenterPoint Parking Garage Death


Houston police have released surveillance video of someone wanted for questioning in the death of a man who was found bludgeoned to death in a downtown parking garage on Sunday night.

Police this week identified the victim as 27-year-old Cory Roussell, whose body was found at about 10:50 p.m. Sunday night on one of the parking garage floors of the CenterPoint building at 1111 Louisiana Street. Police say Roussell died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Police Investigating Fourth Body Found Floating in Buffalo Bayou This Month


Cyclists discovered a body floating in Buffalo Bayou at 600 Franklin Street early Saturday morning. It was the fourth body found floating in the bayou this month.

Police identified the man as 43-year-old Walter Burks. Officials say an investigation is pending as police wait for autopsy results.

Cops Search for Clues After Decomposed Body Pulled From Sims Bayou

Just last week we told you about Tim Miller and his organization finding more than 100 cars at the bottom Sims and Braes bayous. As if to punctuate his point about potentially finding bodies inside some of those vehicles, the badly decomposed corpse of a man was found Sunday afternoon in Sims Bayou, according to reports.

An autopsy is expected today, but initial reports said the unidentified body, found by a passerby, was that of a Hispanic man in late 20s to early 30s.

Investigators Are Looking Into Details of Deadly Officer-Involved Shooting

Houston police are saying that the man who one of their officers allegedly shot dead Monday afternoon pointed a gun at the officer just after the suspect was attempting to jump a wooden fence to escape.

The shooting by the 7-year HPD veteran is under investigation.

The incident began Monday afternoon when police got a call about a group of men trying to use counterfeit bills, according to reports. Police said they were told one of the suspects riding inside a silver Chevrolet Cobalt with two other people was armed.

Police Investigating Death at Fortune Cookie Company

A body was found in a dough mixer at a Houston factory. It may have looked like this.
There's still no word on the identity of a 26-year-old man who may have met his doom inside of a dough mixing machine.

Sunday afternoon, Houston police responded to a call of a dead body found inside of an industrial mixer at the Houston branch of the Wonton Food company. They're the leading makers of those fortune cookies you get at Asian food places. Wonton, which has a huge factory in New York and others around the country, is actually known as one of the leading providers of fortune cookies around the world. It also makes other Asian food under the Golden Bowl brand.

We're still waiting for the the Harris County forensics lab to verity the man's identity.

HPD Review Video of Suspect in Pregnant Woman Slaying at Strip Club

A pregnant woman was killed by robbers while working her cleaning job at the Eclipse Gentlemen's in Houston, police say. Maria Lucrecia, 27, was pronounced dead at the notorious club on South Gessner Road around 5:25 p.m. on Saturday.

To make matters utterly worse (like they could be really be any worse at this point), the Houston Chronicle reports that Lucrecia's body was found by her family.

Police believe the attacker took Lucrecia, who was five months pregnant, into the lobby, where he beat and strangled her. She was found there by her husband and the couple's 5-year-old son.

Houston Police homicide detectives reviewed a surveillance video that was released yesterday. They're still looking for the POS who did this.

Francisco "Frankie" Vela, 22, was shot to death at Norma's Plaza Apartments at 7526 Martin Luther King Blvd. on August 11, and police are struggling to find suspects. We were unaware of the shooting at the time, but have since been alerted by the victim's mother-in-law.

Witnesses heard two gunshots at the apartment complex at the above address. Patrol officers and HFD paramedics arrived and were directed to the area where the victim was found outside an apartment, according to a release.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and/or charging of any suspect in the case. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
