How Much More Rain Should We Expect This Weekend?
We're not out of the wet weather just yet. The threat of more flash flooding could creep up on us this weekend, according to weather forecasters. One to two inches could come down before next week.

Houston has easily measured more than a half-foot of rain since Monday, and our rivers and bayous are swollen. A flood warning was issued yesterday for the West Fork of the San Jacinto River and US 59, which was rising due to overflow from the Spring and Cypress creeks. Roads in areas south of Kingwood were reportedly flooded last night.
A flood warning remains in effect since this morning for Cypress and Little Cypress creeks in the northwestern part of the county.
Search teams are reportedly still working to find a missing 18-year-old who may have drowned in the San Jacinto River in Conroe.
Accuweather meteorologist Jordan Root writes, "The upper-level disturbance will begin to fade away late this weekend and into early next week, putting an end to the heavy downpours and flood threat."
We're hoping he right. We're thankful for the moisture, but this has been one hectic wet and muddy week.
