It's like a concrete field of dreams. Developers with deep pockets can pretty much do whatever they want in this town. Within reason. And sometimes, without.

Becoming an astronaut might be a pipe dream for most, but living here in Space City, you can become a regular visitor to Space Center Houston, and you know, reconnect with those dreams.

The med center.  Houston REALLY needs to start touting itself as the world's capital for medical care, because it is.  I know it seems like a boring thing, but I have family from all over the world that do anything to get here when they are sick.  Austin can keep its rock, Dallas can keep its bars, Houston keeps me alive.

The beach is great for walking and you can walk miles.. Great for games and for fishing.

Proximity to the beach is definitely underrated. I love that we can make it in an hour. Try that from Austin or Dallas. But the most underrated thing about Houston not on the list is the food for sure! Best gulf seafood in Texas right here. And the best Tex-Mex. If only we had better BBQ.

Go to Chicago, and you will get a clearer understanding of just how uninspired Houston's architecture is. We have some interesting buildings but we are not in any way noteworthy for them.

pretty horrible list...  way to throw in a "Donk" for Houston's car culture as well.  That's a Dallas thing man!

@RoosterMcGee  Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't too much of a fan of that picture either. Subbed a photo of a car I saw last week on Westheimer.
