Ted Cruz Goes Obamacare Trolling and Fails

Ted Cruz, just doing what he does.

As we rolled up to the fourth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act being signed into law, Sen. Ted Cruz couldn't help but take a shot at the program -- which has had plenty of administrative problems since it was kicked off last fall.

Cruz made a name for himself in the political ring by railing against pretty much everything, but his stunts concerning Obamacare where his particular talent for turning politics into high-stakes trolling and he really found a way to shine. Of course, Cruz is not alone in his dislike of Obamacare, so he -- or whoever manages his social media -- probably assumed that surely everyone would be on board with his little poll. And thus Cruz offered all of us a lesson about the danger of making assumptions. It's never a good idea.

The poll was posted last week on the anniversary of Obamacare being signed into law. Within hours Cruz got hundreds of comments from people talking about how the Affordable Care Act has changed their lives (There were 46,000 approving comments according to Burnt Orange Report, but let's keep in mind that not all of those comments are approving. Plus, Burnt Orange Report then lurched from claiming 46,000 comments of approval to singing the praises of the gleaming bureaucratic masterpiece that is the ACA, so we're going to take that with a grain of salt.)

However, the comments are definitely an interesting development considering you'd think most people getting "Sen. Ted Cruz" in their Facebook feed would be inclined to agree with him. It looks like Cruz, king of political trolling, is himself getting trolled.

The debate was still going on the Facebook page, even as the Obamacare enrollment period was closing (except for those who got an extension) on Monday. The poll had registered more than 48,000 comments with many of those comments turning into mini-debates between people who say Obamacare has saved their lives and plenty of other people saying the ACA has ruined their lives and their insurance.

There were plenty of representatives from both sides. The only thing everyone can agree about is that the Obamacare website is a hot mess -- it went down again in the lead up to the enrollment deadline. No surprise, right?

Cruz doesn't do too many appearances outside of Fox News on the MSM, and the few times he has he's appeared unnerved when confronted over his nonsense.  But he's content to raise money ala Ron Paul that he'll never spend on a campaign.

BOR has to stop enjoying the bouquet of their own farts long enough to make an accurate statement and any relevant commentary. Get a real job, boys.
