The Johnny Manziel Dunk Show (w/ VIDEO)

Manziel Pro Day is this week.
When Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles conducted his Pro Day last week in Orlando for virtually every NFL team, it was on the heels of Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater's less than stellar Pro Day the week before. So when Bortles went out and tore it up (he was reportedly pretty damn impressive), some attributed the show he put on to motivation.

To use ESPN's Ron Jaworski term, Bortles "smelled blood in the water."

So this Thursday, the final third of the 2014 Quarterback Triumverate, Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, will have his Pro Day, and I'm sure it'll be a circus. If Manziel is the competitor he is reputed to be, he like Bortles, smells an opening to pass up Bridgewater on the Texans' big board.

Well, if Manziel's Instagram account is any indicator, he's not waiting until Thursday!

In the age of social media, there's an opportunity to make an impression 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and ironically, Manziel is using his social media to remind the world that "Hey, I have a 31.5 inch vertical leap, bitches..."

On Monday morning, this little video reared its head on the internet:

Now, I'm admittedly as big a Johnny Football honk as there is in the media, but seriously, even you Mr. Johnny Manziel Hater, have to admit that's pretty damn impressive. Two handed alley oop off the wall, one handed stuff shot off the wall, off the backboard jam, and a 360?

I mean, that's impressive for anybody, let alone someone who is only 5-foot-11 and WHITE!!

On Monday morning, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien went on the NFL Network on the NFL AM show, and was asked about his plans for the quarterback position, particularly his plans in the draft. His response:

"I don't think there's any question that we'll draft a quarterback in the draft," O'Brien said. "Where we draft that quarterback, I don't think we know yet. We don't even know that yet. We're still in the process of studying all these prospects, in the process of putting a grade on them and place them where they would be in the draft. The big thing is it's such a long process. We're in the stage now where we go to the Pro Days and eventually we bring them into our facility for an interview, we call it an on-campus interview in Houston. As we get closer and closer we'll obviously be able to make a decision."

"There's not a lot of separation, and there are more quarterbacks than just three. Obviously, the three guys that everybody talks about, Blake, Teddy and Johnny, those guys are good players. Thy had great college careers. But there are other guys out there," O'Brien said.

"You've got McCarron, you've got Mettenberger, you've got Logan Thomas, you've got Savage, you've got Garoppolo. I mean, I could go right down the list. To me, you've got 10 or 12 guys you've got to do a great job of evaluating and make the best pick possible where ever you draft these guys. I see a lot of good quarterbacks," O'Brien said.

Clearly, these quotes were uttered before O'Brien had a chance to check out Manziel's Instagram account.

I will say it again for all of those that have not heard..."Johnny will make the Texans pay for not drafting him.  I get the Texans needs/depth out way the need for a flashy QB, but JFF will be a star in the NFL.  Simple.  He will learn he can not do the same things he did in college just like he learned last year to stay in the pocket more and throw for more yards.  He will continue to evolve and mature and show the haters that they are 100% wrong about him.  I can promise you he will out work anyone the Texans pick and make OB look like an insecure child because the QB may over shadow the head coach."  This is the same drum I have been beating since JFF declared for the draft.  I have no doubt the Texans will make the "safe" choice which will guarantee their continued mediocrity.  My only prayer is we draft Clowney so he can chase down Johnny in a Jacksonville uniform.
