UPDATED Bicyclist Dies Three Days After Hit-and-Run in the Montrose
UPDATE: The victim has been identified by her boyfriend as Chelsea Norman. He tells us Norman clocked out of work at Whole Foods at 10:17 pm Dec. 1, and was likely hit between 10:20 and 10:35 p.m., while riding home.
We hope someone comes forward with information.
She was found lying face up in the bike lane, with her bike 20-30 feet from her, in the opposite lane, according to the boyfriend.
Houston police are investigating a hit-and-run that sadly became a fatality Wednesday, when a 24-year-old woman died three days after being struck while riding her bicycle in Montrose.
There were no witnesses to the accident, which occurred on Waugh near West Gray the evening of Dec. 1, according to an HPD spokesman.
The victim, whose name was not released, suffered broken bones and head trauma and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she had remained in critical condition.
Police currently have no possible vehicle or suspect description.
